The restaurant is very elegant, silver utensils, breakfast is rich in variety, we are travelling with parents, so the hotel gave us two rooms to the door, and there are doors outside the door to ensure privacy, near the hotel is the Lichi Park. There are subways in the surrounding area. This old hotel has no service and management. The room is quite big. The price is considered to be very high in the luxury hotel. The most satisfactory hotel in Spain is the Wellington Hotel.

Overall we stayed in 3 rooms - the first we rejected after one night because the shower was unacceptable with an awful smell of drains emanating from it and there was no bath as alternative. The second they moved us to was much better with bath in the room but it had a shower cubicle which again smelled of drains - we didn't use it. The 3 rd room was a luxury duplex suite after we'd left the city and returned for one more night - yet again the shower smelt awful and they had to send the housekeeper up to pour disinfectant down it. They blamed rain but it hadn't rained on all the days - I blame the construction of the showers - marble slabs with gaps in between where dirt and mould was visible - frankly quite awful. We found the hotel otherwise a bit strange in layout but comfortable, nice terrace bar/restaurant and a good buffet and cooked breakfast. Staff were helpful except for young lady who suggested I needed 40 minutes or more for taxi to train station - I got there in under 5 minutes !

The location of the hotel is very good, the rooms are not big, but very clean and hygienic, the sheets are washed very white, it is very comfortable at first glance. The breakfast is also very rich, that is, the breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays starts at 8 o’clock. When I leave, I catch a plane on Saturday. There is no breakfast when I get down at 7:30. The front desk said that there are some simple food and drinks in the small bar. Point, it feels more humane, the experience of staying in is very good, it is recommended!

As a Marriott Titanium / Lifetime Platinum Elite Guest, our family [husband, wife and two young daughters] decided to visit Madrid, Spain to start our month-long 2023 summer vacation in Europe. We spent five (5) nights at Westin Palace Madrid using our Bonvoy points in late May / early June 2023. Please see the thirty-eight (38) photos we posted with this review of all aspects of the hotel. Within days after making our five (5) night stay using Marriott Bonvoy points approximately ten (10) months prior to our arrival date, we emailed General Manager, Pablo Flores and advised him of our future stay as well as our special requests, including our request for an Executive Suite, which would comfortably host our family of four. Within hours of our email, we received a thoughtful reply Paloma Hidalgo, Director of Rooms, whom immediately provided us with a complimentary guaranteed upgrade to an Executive Suite and further, Ms. Hidalgo readily granted all of our other special requests. The prompt response did not come as a surprise to us given how active the management of this property is in reading and promptly replying to past guests on Trip Advisor as well as the Marriott Bonvoy website, which is but a mere sign of management’s commitment to exemplary customer service. Not surprisingly, we were overjoyed with such a response and really looked forward to our future stay at The Westin Palace Madrid. This gorgeous historic hotel is magnificently located in Madrid overlooking the Neptune Fountain and less than a three minute walk to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, less than a five minute walk to the Prado Museum and less than a ten minute walk to the Reina Sofia Museum. It is also extremely close to Retiro Park and is within an easy 15 minute walk to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and the Gran Via as well as many bars, restaurant, trendy cafés, market and other cultural attractions. You can easily walk everywhere throughout the entire city but public transportation options abound in close proximity to the hotel as well. Our initial visit to the Westin Palace Madrid did not disappoint, especially when the hotel accommodated our extremely early check-in (before 9:00 am). The check-in process with Ms. Hidalgo, Estefanía Martinez, Front Office Assistant Manager and Juan at the reception desk was a breeze. Further, Ms. Martinez was kind enough to personally escort us to our suite and show us all of the features and amenities of same. This was very thoughtful on the part of Ms. Martinez and very much appreciated. Throughout our entire five (5) night stay, Ms. Hidalgo and Ms. Martinez were especially helpful and friendly. We simply loved our Palace Executive Suite with slightly over 1,000 square feet in total space with a sublime view of the Neptune Fountain; it was truly remarkable. Stayed at the nh madrid for a long weekend trip and cannot recommend this hotel enough the staff at the hotel are brilliant and are happy to help with anything from taxis to places to go we stayed in room 701 with a balcony overlooking parts of madrid absolutely beautiful hotel is directly opposite the train station with bus stop and metro just outside so easy access from the airport and only a 15 to 20 minute walk from all madrid has to offer fantastic hotel we look forward to returning xxx

If your looking for a weekend away to Madrid then look no further and choose the Novotel Madrid in the city center. The hotel is lovely and clean, the room are decent sizes and the shower is awesome. A special thank you to the hotel receptionist 'Sasha' who made our short weekend break amazing. Not only was she helpful and friendly she advised on historical points to see, advised how to travel around the city. The breakfast bar is spolit for choice and the hotel is only 20 minutes away by taxi to the airport T4, €30 a great price. The hotel provides complimentary water and housekeeping is great. This hotel has a lovely roof top bar and the food up there is amazing. Definitely worth all it's stars and the food is an excellent price. This is a great hotel in terms of location and access to both historical venues and shopping. While here we tried various foods such as Spanish, Indian, Thai and English . The people are friendly and getting around by metro is easy, or rentable scooters or bikes. The tour bus is also one to do, I went for my daughter's 16th and we all had a fabulous time .... also 20 minutes by tour bus to the Royal Madrid Stadium.

Absolutely loved this hotel. It was perfect for a couple traveling with their children. We stayed for a week, the location was amazing across the street from The amazingly beautiful Retiro park. The staff was great, rooms cleaned very well. We had the included breakfast which was great lots of choices. Can’t say enough about it. Having a junior suite with separate bedroom and huge separate space for sitting and bunk beds was key for us to have a wonderful week! Would definitely return!

I had a late checkin around 2AM. This late checkin was already notified to the hotel and it was acknowledged too. Despite this, they gave us twin beds instead of a double bed as per the booking. (Twin bed rooms are normally cheaper than the double bed rooms). On complaining at the reception, they said they are fully booked and can not give us a double bed room. Then what was the point of an advanced booking when you will give it to someone else? Commitment was not fulfilled. The guy on the reception apologised and understanding the situation, I agreed on taking a double room next morning at 11am. When I went to the reception at 11am, there was a different guy who was unaware of the situation. On complaining, he said he can not give me the room as there is no double bed room available. I decided to discuss this further and raise the complain as being nice was not helping me out. After I raised my voice, he called someone and all of a sudden he had a free double bed room and he gave me the keys. There was no compensation for their mistake neither I needed one. Anyways, I stayed there for 3 nights. The room was nice and clean. The location is excellent with many attractions around on a walking distance. Except for the initial complain, everything was OK. I guess it does not happen too often so I can not suggest anyone to avoid this hotel. I gave the ratings on the basis of my personal experience.

The location is very good, right next to the Prado Museum, 10 minutes away from the Atocha train station, very close to the attractions, but quiet, the hotel is very quiet. The atmosphere around the house is very good. Retiro Park is right next to it, Alcala Gate is just around the corner, there are monuments and so on. The decoration of the hotel is very fresh, and the handsome guy at the front desk is very polite. I was pleasantly surprised that there is a set of ceramic kettle; the family room has a set of bunk beds, which the kids love very much!

This hotel is literally across the street from the Madrid Atocha train station. Very easy to find once you exit the station. Centrally located, we walked to El Retiro park in the morning. We also did the hop-on-hop-off bus tour which dropped us off close to the hotel. Hotel itself is beautiful, every staff extremely nice and helpful. Despite the central location, we found the rooms to be quiet. We bought the buffet breakfast when we booked and it is WORTH EVERY PENNY. It is at their rooftop restaurant which not only has an amazing view, the food was DELICIOUS. Beautifully presented with many many options including an omelette/egg station. Early morning was a bit chilly in early October but they had heaters on which was an added bonus. We also had drinks and some tapas at night at the same rooftop, which were delicious as well. We would definitely return here if we are ever in Madrid again. You can't go wrong.

We stayed at the H10 Hotel Puerta de Alcalá at the end of May and middle of June. The hotel was very comfortable and well located. We particularly enjoyed the rooftop deck with great views of Madrid and Retiro Park. The rooms were very comfortable, quiet, and clean. On a day trip I mistakenly left my camera bag in a taxi. On my return to the hotel later that day, Juan C. at reception helped me begin communications with the taxi company to try to locate the camera bag. For the next few weeks after I had returned home to Canada, Juan diligently followed up and coordinated with the taxi company, organized payment for retrieval of the camera bag then prepared it for shipment to my home in Canada. He went above and beyond the usual service expected at a hotel and I wanted to point out his excellent assistance. Robert S.

This review is for 60 balconies iconic. So, a surprise for me, after reserving on booking.com, is that this is an apart hotel. Positives - the location is AMAZING and the room (we had an appt for 3 people) was EXCELLENT . Staff were very helpful. Very clean throughout. Bed was super comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. A gorgeous breakfast was delivered every morning. Bread, fruit, yogurts, cereals… Negatives - pool (which had workmen upgrading the roof terrace) was freezing. Naturally, not heated, but attached to hose from mains water. Icy. Personally, not a fan of the frosted glass doors/walls to the toilet. We had a large teenager sleeping on the pull down single bed. Was a bit small. Positives far outweigh the negatives. As long as you don’t have your heart set on swimming, you will not regret staying here.
