Painted Boat Resort Spa and Marina

Painted Boat has everything; incredible view spacious, well-decorated unit, quality furnishings. Loved it.

Excellent overall. This is one of my favorite places to visit/stay. I can't wait to go back. I absolutely love it there.

We stayed here in 2017 and had fond memories of this resort. But seven years had passed and had included a pandemic so we weren't sure if the Painted Boat Resort would still be as impressive as it was. So we came over for a BC Ferries Vacation and this accommodation did not disappoint. It was exactly the same as I remembered. The resort is called a 4 star but I really considered it a 5 star. We were booked to be in a one-bedroom villa but when we checked in we were given the two bedroom Villa. For two people, this was absolute luxury. Two bedrooms, two baths, and two balconies made for a very relaxing stay. The villas all have large windows and they offer spectacular views of the harbour. The staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. There was a small problem with the blinds in one of the bedrooms and within 10 minutes of calling the front desk, a maintenance staff person was right there and the blind fixed quickly. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained and the village of Madeira Park is a very short walk from the resort.

Had a wonderful weekend at the Painted Boat Resort with my family. It was very easy to get to and the facilities were amazing. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to try the spa, but it looked fantastic. The restaurant was great, I recommend to make reservation in advance. I would definitely recommend Painted Boat Resort!!!

This is a great place to escape the city for a few days. The villas are huge, comfortable with great outdoor decks. The spa experience was excellent & the spa garden is a great bonus. The restaurant service & menu is the best in Pender Harbour. The only negative is that the property is in a marina & there isn’t really anywhere to swim in the ocean. I think this would be a problem in the heat of the summer.

Quite disappointed with our stay. We booked a two bedroom villa for a relaxing couples getaway. We booked a pet friendly villa as we were travelling with our two dogs. It wasn’t until check in that we were informed of a $35 PER DAY, PER DOG extra fee. Total scam. We called the front desk weeks in advance to request an early check in which was confirmed. The day of our check in we phoned again to re/confirm and were treated to the rudest hospitality employee I have ever encountered. She kept telling us how insanely busy she was and that she would not be able to accommodate our request. Fair enough, I understand things get busy and can change on the fly. Upon arrival the “super busy” woman at the front desk was sat staring at her phone. Every interaction with her made us feel like we were a major imposition. Had to call about a few features in our room not functioning properly and were made to feel like we were a problem. Not the warm, welcoming hospitality you expect from the lovely Sunshine Coast. If you don’t like people, I suggest a career change. We were given a ground floor villa which was beautiful and had a stunning view but our upstairs neighbours had small children that liked to run marathons at 6am. If you don’t want to be woken up by stomping I suggest requesting a top floor unit. All that being said, the gentleman who helped us check in was wonderful and the lovely woman at check out who I believe is named Shari was exceptional. They both deserve recognition for their service and were an absolute pleasure to deal with.

The place is beautiful, clean, friendly staff and all the amenities are nice. My family enjoyed the pool so Much and the spa we enjoyed as well so the our villa we enjoyed the bbq and so much things to do.

Overall the property is lovely and relaxing but it is hard to justify the price when the restaurant, pool and kayak/SUP were out of service. Additionally we were charged an unusual add on amount after check out and still have not heard back regarding what that was for despite checking out in person and being told we had no pending charges. Rooms were nice and spacious and the beds were comfy, but again the cost did not match the experience.

We had a wonderful stay at the Painted Boat and a great experience at the spa. The suites all have ocean views and are well equipped, clean and very comfortable. The spa garden and massage was so relaxing and was just what we needed for a mini get away,
