The Carriage House Inn Bed & Breakfast

Beautiful clean Inn, slept solid. I did not have dinner the night before so was looking forward to meeting my hosts and enjoying a great breakfast. 8:50, no coffee, tea, or water. 9:00 no breakfast, 9:20 headed downtown. Sadly, I must have missed the no breakfast memo. So heads up, there is a great coffee/breakfast place 6 minutes away by car.

Had a reservation. We pulled up under the awning, saw no signs on what or where so I went to the front door which I assumed was the office entrance. Door was unlocked, I entered, and the owner walked up to me and said "what are u doing in my house?". I said I'm here to check in like I always do at B&B's, hotels, etc. He asked why and I said because I have a reservation. He got very rude and said this is not a B&B or hotel. He said all the info was in the Email. I received an Email a couple days earlier that had no check-in info. He continued to cop an attitude. Unknown to me an Email with that info was sent to me at 10:30 AM that day and I had not read it as we drove there on Motorcycles starting 8:00 AM and I can't read Email on the bike! They should have sent the mail at least the day before or indicated in the previous email that check-in info would be provided later by Email. I told him if he will give a refund we will leave as by this time everyone was teed off. He said he would provide a refund (I have not yet seen it). The entrance to the awning and parking is one way and his vehicle blocked us from getting out. He refused to move it so we had to drive thru the grass to leave. He then complained that we were damaging his property. I don't understand how he can stay in business with his behavior.
