I have chosen this hotel by recomendation of my friend. It has very good position, not far from the train station and fast to arrive to the Longmen Grottoes. I had a room with panorama windows, spacious and big. With help of translating app we managed to talk to reception. Robot is bringing things to the door. We have received very positive service from the front desk ladies. Special thanks to them for hospitality. Thanks to the manager mrs. Zhu Yan. Only one recomendation is to make at least some floors no smoking for guests who are allergic and cannot support the smell. I would suggest also to add a bell boy or a man to help with luggage, ladies helped us but it is heavy to make them do it. They work hard already. I received very nice gifts: cookies, fans and candies from the front desk. Thank you! I will come back.

Our room had great beds, 2 kinds of pillows (I love the buckwheat pillow, my friend prefers the regular pillow), cool air conditioning (it's hot in July), & excellent, powerful shower with high quality shampoo, etc. Although our Chinese language skills are poor, the staff were patient, helpful, & highly service-oriented, using apps to communicate with us. They explained the finer details of getting tickets to the grottoes & moving around the area. The extensive breakfast buffet was terrific, with a huge range of choices to satisfy all palates--I prefer Chinese breakfast foods, my friend prefers Western style breakfast. Both of us were full and happy, ready to climb all the stairs at the grottoes. It is necessary to mention the dinner restaurant at Dong Shang Hotel. It was excellent. Eggplant=100% fantastic! Cilantro salad=100% wow! I recommend their dinner restaurant even if you are not staying at their hotel.
