Hotel antigo mas bem conservado, ótima localização, silencioso à noite, equipe atenciosa e simpática, bom café da manhã. Fizemos todos os passeios a pé, sem problemas. Linda cidade. Hotel a poucos passos do lago. Recomendamos.

My wife and I spent one night at International au Lac Hotel during our stop in Lugano during our eight day train tour of Switzerland this past August. We booked the Belle-Epoque room, which is one of the historic rooms in the hotel. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast which offered an excellent variety of breakfast items. We thoroughly enjoyed at stay at International au Lac Hotel.

I was impressed by how well maintained this hotel was, while still maintaining its character, charm and history. The breakfast each morning - esp the fruit - was exceptional in quality and variety. I was under the weather so wasn’t able to explore Lugano as I would normally but for the times I was resting at the hotel, either by the pool garden or the seating area on the first floor with a wraparound balcony that allowed you to people watch at the piazza below and the lake across the road, I didn’t feel like I missed out as much. Great hotel.

I’m baffled and disappointed by the reviews that said this hotel had comfortable beds. I woke up with the worst back pain, something I have not experienced once in 2 weeks of traveling through Europe. The staff is really nice .I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Everything was perfect during our stay…service was both friendly and professional…our room was beautiful…the view of the lake was amazing as was the balcony, down to the towel warmers in the bathroom…breakfast was delicious…will definitely be back…

The hotel is in an excellent location, has helpful friendly staff and good accommodations. The hotel is a bit of a throwback to glamour days but it is appropriately so. Slightly worn but not bad and very clean. Also - if you have a car the attached parking is a savior.

My experience mirrored exactly what was advertised in their photos. The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking views of the lake from the balcony. While some areas of the hotel could benefit from a refurbishment, particularly the parts with carpeting, the overall experience was elevated by the stunning vistas, prime location, and the warmth of the staff. One of the conveniences was the underground hotel car park, allowing for easy access right outside the hotel entrance. The seamless check-in process, where they didn't even require my credit card, was a pleasant surprise. The presence of an honesty bar added a charming touch, and I particularly enjoyed indulging in some wine there. The hotel's location is another major plus, with restaurants, shops, and cafes just a one minute walk away. Additionally, the beautiful walk across the road, spanning from one end to the other, provided a picturesque experience. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a blend of stunning views, convenient amenities, and a welcoming atmosphere in Lugano.
