This is my second visit after visiting with my family about a month ago. I remembered the warm experience I had at this hotel last time, so I came back again. There must be many guests coming in and out of the hotel, and I was touched that everyone I met recognized me and said “Welcome back.” I am very grateful to Yong, Lith, Muhn, Mone, and the two female hoteliers who were in charge of dinner on 5/25 for their hospitality. (I should have asked everyone's names, but it's too bad I didn't.) And the information about becoming a monk during the morning Takbat. I am also sincerely grateful to the male hotelier who kindly and in detail explained about the Ina Lao people. I think I will visit Laos again on my last trip before returning to my home country because of the warm memories I had in Avani. I look forward to seeing you again.

We are very happy with our stay at the Sofitel of Luang Prabang, very warm welcome from the arrival until our departure. This is a very quiet and relaxing hotel with plenty of serene atmosphere, which we were looking forward to get during our stay. As it is a bit out of the city center with 5 minutes drive or 10 minutes by tuktuk, they do offer free shuttles from 6pm to 9:30pm to town or back. Courteous staff, helpful and friendly people. Breakfast is simple, not gargantuan, sufficient enough, they offer free 5 minutes massage when you arrive for breakfast if you desire to have one… The pool and garden are beautiful and well maintained. All in all, good values and good vibes from this place, we will return and recommend it to our friends to go.

The environment is good. It is the third-ranked luxury hotel. The service attitude is much better than that of Luang Prabang Hotel. The service awareness is very strong. Sitting on the bed, you can see the scenery outside the window. The weather has been cold recently, so a small sun is provided for heating. There are two shortcomings. The room was very damp and unhygienic, with rips everywhere. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, but I bought a phone card so I could use it. A very well located hotel to explore the old town. Very comfortable, but with limited amenities (guests are able to use the amenities at the Sofitel though). The hotel staff were phenomenal - very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was decent, but could be improved with some more authentic local options (the local options on the menu were small and very bland, i.e. limited herbs and spice).

Laos is not a rich country, but luxury hotels seem to be particularly fond of this country, especially Luang Prabang. Among them is Amantaka, which is a must-visit for Aman enthusiasts. During my half month in Laos, I experienced all the good hotels in this country. As expected, Amantaka is the best. The noble experience begins when the front office manager personally drives to the previous hotel to pick you up. The appearance of every customer service person in the entire hotel seems to be strictly controlled.
