Enjoyable, relaxed and comfortable stay. A warm friendly welcome and tasty full English breakfast. Just what we wanted from our one night stay away!

Just a one night stay but fitted the bill. Clean with all the facilities we needed, decent pub food and nice staff.

Good location and parking, although not easy to find. Property in poor condition and TV in rooms not working. New owners, so may improve, but needs inspecting. .MD Xmas 2023

A delightful village pub, situated in the heart of Lower Quinton, where the air inside just oozes with friendly ambience. It was a place that we just called in for a drink. The staff made us feel so welcomed and got the open fire started immediately. I cannot stress how friendly this pub was on our first visit. Then we returned for a second visit to enjoy a meal. It is not gastro eating, it is not posh eating, it was traditional pub food, edible, tasty and the chips were delicious. The best we have tasted so far. Again, nothing was too much for the staff and again, the same friendliness was given to us, including starting the open fire. A pub that we shall go back to again and we definitely recommend this pub. Like most travelers, we have passed the sign on the main road from Stratford upon Avon many times and on this occasion decided to explore the village and called in for a drink. Not disappointed at all.

We stayed at the college arms on the evening of Sat 2-Dec-23 for one night while visiting Stratford Upon Avon. Friendly staff (Mother & son who have just taken over), easy check in, and very comfortable bed with a nice breakfast. The only downfall for us was the emergency exit lighting in the room which was ridiculously bright, to the point where my wife and I could stop laughing about it when we switched the lights off to go to sleep as it filled the room bright green.

We stayed shortly after new management had taken over and before normal service could be established (eg, the new chef wasn’t due to come in for another fortnight, those in charge were having to handle room allocations at the same time as pint-pulling, a room key was missing). Despite this, the landlady Karianne and her assistants were magnificent, not just providing a friendly welcome but going out of their way to offer every kind of help and service. Excellent recommendations for other places to eat. Despite the absence of the chef, Breakfast was everything we’d requested and more. The four-poster bed had a most comfortable mattress. When we stupidly left three items behind Karianne personally undertook to post them to us recorded delivery. This kind of generosity makes you feel good.

No meals available , advised of three other locals places to eat, one only does pizzas, one doesn’t take walk ins, the other is cash only Room was boiling hot, bathroom freezing ~ asked to have the bathroom rad on, never happened. Bed was so soft it was like a water bed …. Breakfast at 8, no one around, pub all locked up .. as we were packing up 35 mins later barman appeared, and said oh, we had some (more) kitchen issues so couldn’t open on time but what do you want for breakfast? No idea what’s on offer! Told whatever you want so a full English which was ok. Table dirty, no toast or bread offered, no cereal or fruit. Just a really poor experience

very grumpy man shouting at staff, made it all very unwelcoming. the beer was dirty. fantastic pies but the beer was just so dirty and horrible. the removal of the wood basket made the whole room look bland and tasteless

Property had loads of character , staff were very helpful and friendly and breakfast was delicious .
