Now known as the H Hotel in a predominantly residential Koreatown neighborhood in what appears to be a converted commercial or residential building, this hotel sports retro yet modern chic vibe. If your room is ready you might be able to check in a little early, but only about 1.5 hours before the stated 3:00 pm check-in time. I was assigned to room 201, which is a corner room that may have been above the H Cafe. I think they may have nightly live music there (not for sure since I only stayed one night) but it didn’t bother us as it seemed muffled. In-room amenities were basic/minimal. There’s no clothes drawers and there’s no closet, instead there’s a hang rack with gold wire hangers. Bath toiletries included Bigelow shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soaps, and body lotion. There was also a hair dryer. The one thing I wished they would provide is disposable cups. The bathroom was interestingly designed to be basically be one large space with a shower stall and a partial glass partition separating it from the sink/counter and toilet. Also, the shower stall floor is the same level with the rest of the bathroom space. If you take “power” showers, it’s very likely the floor will get wet in the rest of the bathroom space. The electrical outlets in the main room included a USB connection for charging so that was appreciated. The one near the bed was working, however, the outlet near the TV wasn’t. Queen bed was firm but not too firm which was to my liking. The front desk staff was very courteous and professional. The hotel is off the main road but there’s a bus stop (Metro Local rte. #66) practically right in front if you decide to use public transportation as the main mode of travel to the hotel, around Koreatown and L.A. I believe they have parking for guests but I think there’s a daily fee. 3.5/5 stars.

Had a really good stay here. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, they were able to let us check in a little earlier than usual which was great as we had just got off a 14 hour flight and very jetlagged/tired. Rooms looked recently renovated, very clean and tidy. Aircon was nice to have on. Overall not much to complain about. There was a smell (cleaning/perfume/flowers?) which is mentioned in other reviews, however we didn't find this unpleasant at all and got used to it. Having the Airconditioner on seemed to reduce the intensity. Only downside is that it's a bit of a distance from tourist areas (15-20mins by Uber) so if you don't mind, this is a great place to stay.

Place was great, modern design, great cafe. Had to pay $27 per day parkin. If you get a room above the karoke bar, they waive it. Would I stay again, yes. The price was reasonable and it was clean!

프로트가 많이 시끄럽지만 룸은 잘만하면 화장실도 새로 인테리어해서 깔끔하지만 벽이 유리로 되어 있어서 동숙자 일보는게 다 느껴짐 ㅠㅠ. 주차장은 있지만 주차비가 비쌈 다음엔 안갈거 같아요.

Great place with a great atmosphere, the bar/restaurant was very convenient to have located in the lobby. The room was clean and very spacious.

Reminded me of hotels in Europe; a little small but nice comfy bed and great bath products in the wet room. Having off-street parking was nice although expensive of course.

I’d say people are nice and they do the best with what they got but I think management have do to a bette job. I requested a corner room and didn’t happen. The AC filters haven’t been clean in I don’t know how long to the point that my allergies were terrible while I was there. Dirty pillows but saliva or commit and lipstick on it to the point that I had to ask the house keeping for fresh pillow cases. ( old pillows with water marks while replacing pillow cases) Overall a 3 and that’s because the staff was decently nice.

I had requested that the room be decorated and I chose the decorations off Amazon and they charged me for them however the day of check in, they told me to check in at a later time that way the would have time to decorate. I agreed however when I arrived they claimed the decorations had never arrived and that once they did, I could put them up myself. Throughout our entire stay I never heard anything from them. Mind you I chose the decorations 3 weeks prior to check in. So that was very disappointing. They also send a text after you check in offering water bottles, etc.. and when I requested some water they claimed to be out and said I had to go down to the restaurant to buy some, which was inconvenient. I’m not sure why they would offer some if they didn’t have any. I wasn’t aware on anything during booking that you have to pay for parking so that was also disappointing.

The Good: In a great location to get around Ktown and has very easy parking (although expensive at $35 a night). Has a fun vibe to it and was clearly updated recently. It feels like a boutique hotel; the bathroom was nice with great water pressure in the shower. The Bad: as a solo female traveler; I did not feel ultra safe give there is no deadbolt or peephole on the door. Only have the electronic keycard lock which are not a full proof system. The walls/ceiling are paper thin so you hear everything going on above and beside you. You do not have a mini fridge or coffee maker in your room. The main reason for the 3/5 stars is the safety piece. If they had more secure doors I’d consider staying here again.
