OYO Hotel Miramar, Loreto

From checkin this place was a nigh**are. There is no one here with a second language. The hotel is located in amongst a huge area of car breaking yards. How any company could consider this area suitable for a hotel beggars belief. There is little else there, except packs of yapping dogs that are never quiet. The parking is a confined ***** outside the hotel and we were blocked in by other rude guests and missed our day trips. The place was quite clean, except for dust over the entire floor. The rooms are tiny with no water, kettle, or even anywhere to stand anything. The curtain rail is an old piece of plastic pipe. They do have a TV and aircon in the room. We didn't try the TV but the aircon remote was so worn out that we managed to get the aircon on heating, which we didn't want, and then could not turn it off again for about half an hour, by which time the room was like an oven. The bathroom is really just big enough for a toilet, but there is a shower and sink in there too. We had to climb over the toilet to reach the shower. Rhere was no hot water. The mirror is held up by an old boot lace around the light fitting. The real problem started at about 10pm when the unit next door started playing loud, building-shaking music. This continued until 4am. The dogs started yelping again at 5am. There is a tiny swimming pool which appears clean, but it's only there for a star rating as there is nowhere to sit or lie. One star at best!

It was dirty walls were all marked up parking is terrible. park in 1 line under hanging laundry all but last car is trapped in. Dogs barking all night. We paid for 2 rooms for 3 days and only stayed for 1 night we couldn’t take another.

We had been traveling Baja staying at nice and much more expensive places. This was a much more modest but perfectly comfortable. We found the staff here to be the most helpful and courteous of anywhere we stayed.

This place shouldnt be on *******. The area does not seem safe and its very loud. We needed a cheap overnight stay but didn't want to take the chance with our truck outside.

Room lighting was poor. There is no ventilation in the bathroom. Staff, however, were friendly and helpful.

Overall the value at $30 a night on a road trip from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas was amazing for me. The place has parking and was pretty clean as well. It’s not close to the center of town, but they don’t advertise to be. This is a great option on a road trip for one night (maybe two if you wanted to see Loretto) before moving on.

Tell people yelling around to shut up !!! It's expensive for what it is like everything else in Loreto

To much money for what you get

Close to the highway but tucked away in a poor but respectable neighborhood, well away from heavy traffic. Felt very safe, no hwy noises, tho' some barking dogs (they settle when no-one's moving around). Internet was very strong in my room, halfway down the building and that's fairly rare. Very clean, pet friendly. I thought it was a bargain & I will be back.
