Best Western Plus Frontier Motel

Nice and mostly very clean room and hotel. Great staff. Would stay again and recommend it for your next trip. Very close to hiking and biking and some good small town home cooking!

Rooms are clean, spacious and the views are ridiculously good. The staff is so friendly. The location is perfect! Book it! You won’t be sorry.

Staff was friendly. Clean large room with two sinks and very large bathroom counter, and good views out window and from parking lot. Road noise but it was muffled enough not to be a big problem. Breakfast and shower were not good. It had a huge jacuzzi (ick) that was also the shower, and it slopped down significantly for two feet toward the front where the shower was, making it a bit awkward, and possibly dangerous, to shower. Shower spray wasn't good enough to reach back to where the tub was close to level. Bathroom exhaust fan didn't work. Sunday breakfast we put hot food on our plates then discovered they had no utensils or napkins. Went looking for staff & was told there's only one person working breakfast room, clearly not enough for the crowd. Front desk clerk eventually came to help. Took 7-8 minutes to get those items. Threw our now cold food away but two of four hot items (really 3 because 4th was tortillas that I never saw anyone take in 3 days) were empty (bacon had been empty first time we got food). Waited 20 minutes to get hot food restocked. Cold and bakery items were virtually empty for entire time, but we did manage to get yogurt later. Bacon was very good when it finally came out. Chorizo next day wasn't good. Sausage third day was OK, but not hot. Scrambled eggs every day were terrible. Tater tots were mush one day but very good the next. And no place to put used trays so it appeared some people were putting dirty trays back on the stack where they came from. 2nd & 3rd days were better but still not kept stocked, and bakery cases were mostly empty each day (and we were in there about 1-1.5 hours before end of breakfast), but when I did manage to get two cinnamon rolls one day they were a bit stale, and when I got the last one the third day it was very stale. We'd probably stay here again, but expect some problems.

The staff at this hotel are friendly and are helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean. Parking is assigned and parking is close to the room which made it nice for unloading our luggage. The breakfast area was nice sized with many options to choose from. The food items were well stocked and staff kept the area clean. The main issue that I had was that our room had a lot of road noise and on the last night of our stay the wind blew and we got some small leaves in our room. Found out that the weather *****ping on our door needed the be replaced. Will stay here again if we are in the area despite this issue.

Long time Death Valley visitors who normally stay inside the park but opted to try this Best Western in Lone Pine for a change. We were very pleased and will return here in the future. Our room was a king with plenty of pillows on the bed, nice fluffy towels, small fridge, microwave, coffee maker and ice available for registered guests. It was clean and tidy. Although we did not need housekeeping, they were readily available if you needed anything. Our room was away from Hwy 395 so we did not hear any road noise. Breakfast was very good for hotel continental, well staffed with hot food coming out continually, with plenty of seating. Front desk staff are great!!!!! Dining is nearby, and walkable if desired. The views of the mountains and Mount Whitney covered in snow, is breathtaking. Our drive in and out of Death Valley was beautiful, with the many of the mountains and desert floors covered in yellow flowers. Depending on traffic, it is an hour to Stovepipe Wells and another half an hour to Furnace Creek. The Frontier is now our go-to accommodations for Death Valley and the surrounding areas.

The desk clerk was very courteous and provided suggestions for dining. Room was nicely redecorated, with large bathroom. Bed comfortable. Great views of the mountains from breakfast room. Breakfast had many options , with great coffee and hot entrées.

Roomy, clean room. Bathroom was large, clean, lots of towels. Hot breakfast consistently monitored an replenished, very clean. Front desk always staffed and very pleasant and helpful. The best hotel we've stayed in throughout tour of the national parks in this area. Only recommendation would be to heat the pool.

The staff was great, room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was wonderful! The views of Mt. Whitney and the Alabama Hills was priceless! Pool was under renovation but we wouldn't have used it in March.
