Jubilee Hotel Victoria

Lovely little hotel, in a quiet area just by Victoria station. Friendly staff and a comfy bed made it a superb place for a couple of days sightseeing. Rooms are a bit small but it's a Victorian house so that must be expected. The exterior decorations for Chris**as were a lovely touch.

Staying in London is a serious issue. This hotel epitomizes the fact - it’s ridiculously expensive, insanely small (the room could barely fit me and my luggage), it smelled, the carpet added a filthy feeling and above all the bathroom is shared. Thankfully it was fairly clean and I was the first one to use it that day, I would hate to use it after someone… Only good thing to say about it is location.

Walls are thin so you hear other guests. Late night guests were a little noisy so signs for quiet hours would be great. Downstairs shared bathroom was annoyingly messy…water not effectively being blocked from wetting bathroom floor. Maybe longer shower curtain or some other ideas?

I did not stay at the Jubilee as I did not like the look of the property, it appeared had not been updated or thoroughly cleaned since I stayed there 5 or so years ago.

I was here as a party of 4 on the last leg of a 2- week Europe trip for 2 nights. After roughing it in a hostel in Paris and a Botel in Amsterdam, the Jubilee was a very nice place in London to cap off the trip. Conveniently located near the Victoria Center transit center with easy access to public transport. Lovely room with private bathroom and plenty of public ones nearby. Only ding would be the lack of an elevator but would definitely stay again.

Okay so the building is on the older side and there is no elevator, but that is what happens when you stay in an older building. I loved this place. The staff right off the back told me if I needed anything from a hair dryer to a power adapter to not hesitate. I accidentally placed my card next to my phone one night and before I could even make it back downstairs staff was there to help me get into my room. Every person working there was warm and welcoming and I loved the view from my quaint room. It was just what I needed. They had toiletries and tea/ coffee with the cutest mug. I would gladly stay there again.

This property was perfect for my needs. Small, but clean rooms; quiet area; easily accessible to underground and area eating I would definitely book again!

It was a place to sleep. A bit expensive as there wasn’t anything included really but I think it’s in line with prices in the area. It was clean and pleasant smelling and staff was helpful to watch out bags prior to check in time. Walkable to bus and train and Buckingham palace.

Don’t book a single room for 2 people. Small single rooms. Shared bath (not stated on site.) There are rooms “downstairs “ so if you have luggage be prepared to carry them up and down those stairs. NO LIFT. TV and Internet very good. This place is on Eccelson SQUARE! Beware: there is Eccelson STREET and Eccelson PLACE. You can get messed up trying to find it.
