Very expensive disappointment. I’ve actually held off writing this as I wanted to do so without any emotion. Three weeks on and the end of three months of travel, this review is now warranted. Pros: - Location is outstanding. Close to the station and a quieter area than that in the city - Kitchen. Decent size with all the appliances Cons: - Communication and service is poor. We were outright lied to a few times. We arrived from an overnight international trip at 10am. We were advised check in was 4pm, however, we’d be made a priority and the room would be cleaned immediately. At 12pm we asked for an update and were told they’d update us in 10 minutes. At 1pm we asked again after receiving no update and were told our room was next to be cleaned. At 2pm we asked again and our room was still not cleaned. At 2:30, after a challenging conversation we were given a room that had already been cleaned. We were also told it was too bad cause check in was 4pm, however, we saw three other families all check in before us despite arriving after us. - Luxury apartments? I can see in the photos there are luxury apartments but don’t be misled if you can only afford the two bedroom one bathroom flat. They are far from luxury. The main bedroom only has a double bed. The bathroom (filthy on arrival) has a faulty shower and the furniture is very very dated. Our floors were also ridiculously stained like you’d expect to see in a hostel. - Hot water. Well lack of hot water. We had four of us and three of us had freezing cold showers every day. There was a MAXIMUM of 10 minutes of warm water each day. We reported this issue and were told by the reception staff it was a “known issue” and they’d get maintenance to look at it. When maintenance looked at it, they advised the boiler was fine and couldn’t see why it didn’t work. He also suggested there was no known issue and it hasn’t ever been raised previously. He then said if you wait a few minutes after it goes cold, the hot water should kick in. Well between showers 1 and 2 we waited an hour and there was still no hot water. - Noise. We were located on the 5th floor and you can hear everything and I mean everything that happens on the sixth floor. Every step taken, every conversation had and every intimate bedtime activity. - Scaffolding/maintenance - there was some sort of renovation or maintenance work going on in the apartment. Not only did the scaffolding out the front cover up any sense of luxury the place may have had, the workers often blocked the stairwell and/or lift many we were inconvenienced on several occasions. Usually in hospitality when works are being carried out during a visit, you’re given a heads up out of respect. When we suggested this we were told in no uncertain terms it did not affect us Now I have no doubt this will receive the token response about how they take feedback seriously etc, then in their next sentence dispute or excuse everything, but hopefully those reading this
