Yesterday, when we got to our room we saw it was a big walk to get to reception and the hacienda, where our 85+ grandparents are staying. They give us another room at 700 which we are told it is ‘closer’. Turns out it’s a 12 minute walk:longer than before. So when we get back to the hotel at around 23:00 from our activities this evening, we decide we want to get a different villa as this walk had even given my mom blisters, and was way too far. At reception, we ask for our room to be changed, the receptionist called a lady (staff) who is leaving to help. She calls the a manager, hands the phone to my mom and the manager says that we cant get the room back, we originally stayed in. So we have to walk that 12 minutes to the villa, with new cards as the ones we had for the new villa had been lost. Though this loss didn't matter as the door itself was jammed and was not working no matter the car. We have to call reception( it is around 00:40 now) to bring someone to help with the door, which took 10 minutes to come although it was less than a minute drive. When he finally arrives, it takes 10 minutes for him to fix the door while me, my mom and brother are sitting in the car. When he finally fixes the door, we can get in finally and have some rest. These ‘night receptionists’ were very rude, the lady who called the manager on the phone nearly sprinted out the door when we were looking the other way, and one of the worst thing about this is we have been here numerous times, enjoyed the holidays to a great extent and are platinum members who have also visited other marriott hotels from other places in spain and other parts of the world. This is one of the worst hotel experiences we ever had. We even had to pay for the cleaning, all of this has just about ruined the holiday.
