Sadly the adjoining pub, The Pemberton, is no longer a Beefeater (the food was still fine, although the choice of drinks has slipped), apparently there are plans to convert the pub into more accommodation, I'm not sure why, I cannot imagine that Llanelli is exactly the first choice for holiday makers. Nothing against it, and The Pemberton and the adjoining Premier Inn are conveniently situated in my case for work and it does seem very popular with people travelling for business (contractors, motorsport teams, etc.), but there is plenty of accommodation already (although perhaps in need of a little updating) and the pub itself was always pleasant with pleasant although very hard working (and doubtless under paid) staff. On this occasion I booked well in advance and was lucky enough to pay less than £50 so value was fine, normally a room is over £100 (substantially more if you include breakfast) so the usual grumbles of having to pay for any more than one device on WiFi and very little in room hospitality (tea, coffee etc) apply. I hope that The Pemberton and the Premier Inn will be restored as it deserves better from its owners (Whitbread take note).
