Bruna is the best, great to chat with for a bartender! She's funny and personable, kept listening to my stories and didn't judge. She made me the best rum and coke I've had in years, very knowledgeable about the alcohol's. And made us all feel welcome!

Went wine tasting in Livermore and shopping in Pleasanton for the afternoon and thought it would be fun to stay the night over there. This hotel really needs to be updated in many ways, it looks old and run down, as a Hilton Honnors member I probably wouldn't stay here again unless the did some serious upgrading.First impression with our desk clerk behind the desk that was not to happy to be working that night was doing something on his phone and never greeted us. No cookies, I had to go back and ask for some and he only had two for the four us that checked in. The room look outdated, called and asked for a few foam pillows and they only had one left in the entire hotel which I found strange. Any way for the price I felt it was over priced, easy location to 580 freeway Close to shopping and restaurants it wouldn't be my first choice next time. The TV in the room was very small compared to other hotels I have stayed at, looks like some one may have taken the bigger one and they replaced it with a smaller one.

I'm coming up on the end of my stay (around 2 weeks). The hotel isn't right on the freeway, but it's very close and easy to get to/from. The weather ranged from hot to cool, which gave me the opportunity to explore the range of the in-room a/c. The heater didn't heat. The fan blew, but the air wasn't getting warm, although the a/c worked perfectly when set to cool. The room service phone number never worked. The phone has a speed-dial button for room service, or you can dial 720, but no matter how you call it it always goes to a busy signal. I called the front desk to see if the number was changed, and they relayed my order to the restaurant. The next time I tried getting room service, I again had to dial the front desk. This time I was transferred to the room service number (even though I mentioned that the number wasn't working), which of course didn't work. I gave up on room service for the rest of my stay. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were the type that go flat as soon as you lay your head down. I just pulled a pillow out of the pillowcase and the tag says the filling is 87% duck feathers and 13% down. I might have been able to ask for a hypo-allergenic pillow, but I didn't. Speaking of feathers, several days during my stay I noticed small feathers on the bathroom sink. After the second day I checked out the vent over the sink and it looks like that's the source. I'm guessing that somewhere up that duct there's an opening with a bird nest nearby.

I stay at this hotel a few times a year, and while it's no luxury spa, it usually does the job. However, this is the first time I've been here during a period of high demand. I had to use the "Diamond Guarantee" to book a room, which means the hotel is full. When I arrived just after 9:00 PM, the unprofessional clerk (in NO sort of uniform or business attire) had many guests to tend to (no Hhonors check-in line), and although he was relatively quick about his task, it was CLEAR that there should have been at least one more person at the desk - cost cutting at its finest. The room was tired but clean - HOWEVER, the HVAC was absolutely unacceptable - the wall mounted thermostat had a hand written note telling the guest to use the controls on the wall unit. Really? REALLY? The fan makes a very disagreeable sound when turning on and off; I will not be able to sleep with that racket, so will have to turn off the heat (it is supposed to be 38 in Livermore tonight). This is a very substandard Hilton experience. However, the hotel has the potential to be adequate for short term stays.

Dont........ The only thing good about this hotel is the location to the freeway and plenty of restaurants and shopping within a few exits. It's about 45 min into San Francisco and is not worthly of the daily rate. It appears they spent there pennies to re-model the lobby area and paint the guest corridors to give the Doubltree-livermore a refreshed look. They failed miserably this hotel is dated and neglected.... The guest rooms are small, dark and the furniture is dinged damaged and worn. The wall paper was actually buckling and peeling in multiple areas throughout our room. It was even worse that the front desk staff where rude and non accomdating. Couldn't get out of the place fast enough!. Would we recommend or return no. This proprty fails on so many levels
