Thayer's in is good for the price. The building and rooms are quirky, but it legitimately adds charm, and the price accurately reflects the quirks. One example is that the building is heated with old-school forced hot water using antique cast-iron radiators. Very cute & cool, but rooms don't have their own thermostat, and the temperature swings wildly from low 60's to 80's. I woke up sweating in the middle of the night, and had to leave a window open in 30º weather to cool the room off enough to get back to sleep. Then it ended up too cold.
I would stay there again if I needed to go to that area, I'm more than happy to put up with the quirks and limited staff hours to get a room at half the cost of the chain hotels a couple miles away that are not walking distance from all the cool stuff in downtown Littleton.
