Hotel Cristina

Average stay, in a very nice place of town. Secluded but short walk to city Center. However we booked a room for 4 and there was only one bed when we went in. Called reception and they took 3 hours to set up our other bed. Breakfast is good, but service is lacklustre. Nice views of Lake Garda

Der Service am Empfang war sehr freundlich. Uns wurde vor Ort ein Upgrade für 15€/Nacht angeboten, dadurch waren wir in einem renovierten Zimmer mit Balkon und wunderschönem Seeblick. Gegen die Zimmerausstattung können wir nichts sagen, jedoch hatten wir im Zimmer kein WLAN-Empfang. Der Zimmerservice war mittelmäßig, wir mussten unser Bett 2 Tage in Folge selbst beziehen. Das Außengelände ist definitiv renovierungdbedürftig und besticht lediglich durch die Aussicht. Positiv hervorzuheben sind jedoch die zahlreichen Parkmöglichkeiten und die Lage (10-15 min zu Fuß ins Zentrum, es gibt aber auch einen Shuttle für 1,5€pP, pro Fahrt). Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, leider wenig Auswahl für Vegetarier und durch den großen Saal und die Lautstärke erinnerte es an eine Kantine. Das Abendessen haben wir in der Stadt bevorzugt, hätte im Hotel 22€ pP gekostet. Insgesamt für ein 3 Sterne Hotel solide, top Aussicht jedoch großer Minuspunkt: kein WLAN!

The photos don’t do it justice! It was amazing trip, the room was so modern and the dining hall has been beautifully updated too!! Absolutely amazing trip! I am already thinking about when I can next return, the most gorgeous place I have ever been!

We stayed at Hotel Cristina for 10 nights and had the most fabulous time. Staff are excellent, especially the restaurant staff who were really friendly and welcoming, helping where they could and absolutely amazing service at dishing out the food and tidying up. Other staff were very friendly and helpful even with the language barrier. My mum unfortunately fell poorly on her first night and I had to get the local dr to come and visit. Reception and even restaurant staff were asking after her and very happy to accommodate her with things like taking some buffet food up to her room and even the maid left her fresh bottles of water and treats. Overall, our rooms were clean, pretty comfortable and spacious. The location is absolutely stunning and won’t disappoint!! The only downfalls are, my mum’s room was very hot and she didn’t feel comfortable sleeping with her balcony door open all night. She wished she had a secure window that she could’ve opened during the night for some fresh air. My family were upgraded to a bigger room, (we should’ve had a double and single bed) but they gave us a double bed and double futon which was a lovely gesture (although the futon was slightly uncomfortable to sleep on but the kids didn’t care) Unfortunately the pools outside aren’t heated and freezing to swim in which was disappointing but we still had fun paddling and even dared each other to jump in. The indoor pool was closed at the time due to high ph levels which again, was disappointing for the kids. Food was great but it would’ve been nice to have more vegetarian options. Was quite confusing as some dishes said ‘vegetarian’ but did in fact contain meat or fish at times. Food and drink reasonable prices. Buffet- €22 for adults and €11 for children over 3. If you’re not feeling like eating at the hotel, there are many places to visit in the beautiful town with a really handy shuttle bus that runs regularly too and from the bottom of the lakeside. The shuttle bus staff were so kind and friendly and helped with the buggy on and off each end. €1.50 per person, per journey, children go free. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend to others and visit again! Hopefully next time the pool will be heated… :)

Lovely large room with a beautiful panoramic view of the mountain. The toiletries were old and opened - not impressed. Bath towels had ink stains and smelt bad. Reception staff were helpful. The hotel is far from the port, it took us roughly 45 minutes to walk there. Later found out there was shortcuts but need to follow google map! Restaurant Livio around the corner from hotel was lovely and beautiful - definitely worth a visit!

Nice hotel in limone with an extraordinary view on lake garda. Friendly trea**ent, fair price, nice pool - i can recommend the place for a visit. 👍🏻 Additional information: Dog friendly meaning dogs are allowed. Additionally there is a dog area in walking distance.

We’re here now. It’s so perfect. Our room is gorgeous with balcony views. The reception team have been so helpful. There’s a shuttle that takes you down to the centre. The restaurant overlooks the lake. I’ve read some bad reviews but I think it’s absolutely perfect for us. We love walking and exploring. Limone itself is like a little piece of paradise and the hotel is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed.

The location of Hotel Cristina is imposing perched high looking over the beautiful town of Limone, I suspect that in its day it was a fine hotel.Sadly now though it is in need of a major overhaul. The rooms are drab and outdated, the communal areas such as the dining hall and reception are functional but have little or no character.We had room 402 which shared a balcony with another room(200) strangely the occupants were young staff members who had no consideration for guests when it came to privacy. Food was passable but very repetitive, despite having half board preferred to eat in Limone itself. Credit to the domestic staff , they kept our room very tidy and changed our towels most days.However reception staff were poor and very unhelpful, bar staff were never present during the day, and restaurant staff just went through the motion. Definitely would not visit Hotel Cristina again, Limone is a beautiful place with far superior and friendlier hotels.

Room 201 has an amazing full lake view and 2 balconies. The room is dated, but huge and it is clean with comfortable beds. The bathroom is fine too and always love a bidet! The food from the dining room is plentiful and good quality. It is fresh and hot. The self service for drinks at mealtimes works very well. The pool areas are lovely too and no scrum for sunbeds and umbrellas! Yes, it is at the top of a very steep hill but just think of your step count! Limone Bar nearby is brilliant. Access to the beach at the sister hotel via the regular 1 euro shuttle bus is super too. It was a stinking hot week and we coped with the walk uphill so the rest of the hear would be easier.
