Jinmao Hotel Lijiang, the Unbound Collection by Hyatt

Location is good. Restaurant and shops are around the hotel area within walking distance. Hotel need to renovate and up keep.

Pros: This is a good hotel for a family! My son loves the animal feeding activities. The view at the tea house is amazing. The hotel has their own game room, convenient store, etc. They have many restaurants and taste delicious!! Breakfast has lots of choices and starts early. The expat manager/supervisor woman was really nice, friendly, helpful and accommodating! Thank you! Cons: 1. The front desk/reception. They need to be more welcome and friendly. They were snobbish, not welcome and can’t really speak english (its a chain hotel, hyatt hotel!). We were just about to checked in and were greeted with those frown, if only we havent paid the room we were thinking to move to pullman instead. 2. Book for mountain view room, but they gave us no mountain view. we have to ask to move to other room. 3. We got the room we want, but i think they havent clean the room for awhile, the floor is filthy. 4 if only there is no time schedule to see the alpaca since some people already has their plans for the day and the time schedule might not be fit with guest itineraries. Or they can give us the hotel schedule once we booked the hotel so we can work on our itineraries before check in. Conclusion: we really enjoyed our stay. Other staffs beside the front desk are nice and friendly. Might come back if they improve the front desk ladies.

Jinmao was really convenient to walk to the nearby university food street for very good and cheap street food. It was also convenient to get around by taxi. The room was really spacious and well designed, and we also got a view of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from our room. Breakfast spread was great too. The only thing we had a problem with was accessing the hotel wifi - as foreigners, we would input our overseas mobile number for an OTP but the system would erroneously convert that into a local Chinese mobile number so we could never get the OTP to access the internet. When we told the front desk, their solution was to send a local staff to the room to use his mobile number to help us log into the wifi. While that solution worked, it’s a rather inconvenient and short-sighted fix vs permanently fixing their login website itself. Thought that was rather short-sighted of them.

Hotel look nice and huge at night. But in the morning, there are the sign of no proper maintaining. However, inside room was big and nice. Staffs also good and enthusiastic. The day i arrived had parties and so crowded, but they still try their best to fulfill my requirements.

This hotel staff provide very good service, we participated your animal activities and children activities. Children love it. There is black swan, alpaca, little poney and groundhog in their hotel. The hotel facilities and breakfast spread is superb for inclusive western and Chinese breakfast. We love their jade dragon mountain viewing room also. Overall, It’s a good stay!

The room is nice and staffs are very friendly. The hotel also have nice buffet and animals in the backyard.

The hotel is classic ancient architecture and very nice for photo taking. The hotel is 20 mins from Lijiang ancient town. The hotel manager Eason and receptionist April (Ms Hou)are very helpful handling my check in. Eason support very well and upgrade my 2 night stay to Snow Mountain View in continuity with my first day booking. The Yulong Snow Mountain View is just awesome. The staffs made my 3 night stay in Lijiang was memorable and left me a great impression of their hospitality and Lijiang city.
