A bit further away is the beach which although more pebbles than sand looked glorious as the late afternoon sun hovered low in the sky on Bastille Day. VIEW: I booked a Superior Privilege room looking out over Le Havre's Bassin and it was money well-spent for the view that was both interesting and relaxing. At night, the bridge over the Bassin was illuminated, with the sunflower yellow and turquoise of Ukraine's flag alternating on Bastille Day with France's tricolore of blue, white and red. The effects looked magnificent reflected in the water. ROOM: A vestibule along which was a luggage rack and plenty of wardrobe space led to the well-appointed room with subtly luxurious finshes. Big bathroom, good shower, vanity with plenty of room for toiletries and a completely separate loo. SERVICE: Welcoming and helpful throughout. BREAKFAST: Julie, a quietly engaging, ever-smiling young woman who oversaw the beautifully-presented buffet most mornings made not only my day, but my stay, as she helped me with my fractured French (and I reciprocated by adding to her English).

This is the second time I come here, and everything works perfectly, quiet rooms, very good littery, spacious bathroom with a good flow of water, pleasant calm of the reception. Kyriad (Le Birgit) – Leger Holidays This hotel should not be operating! It was dreadful! Leger Holidays booked this Kyriad hotel for our tour group. The rooms were extremely basic, part chipboard furnishings and views were either a large building site, with a railway track one side or a very busy and noisy square with a 24-hour McDonalds. Two of our group found a cockroach on their bed! Other rooms our party had were dirty. The towels were old and paper thin. The so-called bar was virtually not existent Restaurant: there were not enough chairs or tables for everyone to sit down and the bar only open 7pm-9pm Breakfast – continental only – not great. The Kyriad Le Havre hotel advertised it had tea and coffee facilities in the room with a kettle and milk. - There was nothing in any of the rooms! It also stated it had hairdryers – but some did not. Upon complaining we were told that they Not Kyriad anymore”! Kyriad sold the hotel a month ago – the new hotel being Le Birgit! Le Birgit was being refurbished and resembled a building site - there were even wires coming down from the ceiling by the one lift as well as more building materials by the reception and at one end of the restaurant. Surely, this hotel must have more than one or two health and safety issues. The lift had seen better days and it was ‘hit or miss’ if the button for the ground floor worked, Leger Holidays should have done better and thoroughly checked out this hotel beforehand!.

I was staying for training for 2 weeks in small and cozy boutique hotel. Location is great, walk distance everwhere, to the city and to the beach. I felt very good, rooms where clean and nice. Staff was so great and so friendly. They help with eberything what they could. Thank you very much to make me feel so pleasant in your hotel. I felt like home 😍 I highly recconend this hotel for stay in Le Havre. Best of luck and Hopefully I will visit you again 😉

👍🏿Location 300m from the beach and 100m from the St Roch tram, near the super U and nice restos 👍🏿 Home and freedom of movement in the hotel, no receipt at night but the entrance is under digicode. 👍🏿 Fine broad shower with a good constant flow rate. 👍🏿 I could leave my luggage in storage all afternoon after checkout, without problem. 👎 Rooms are very badly soundproofed, they hear from the corridor to the upper floor, water hunting noise and other discomforts 👎 The 110 toilets are not broad and it's a little acrobatic. 👎 The moquette was full of sheep in the corners.
