Decided to discover Nancy for a quick weekend getaway. Hotel is situated near the motorway and is easy for driving down into town. Executive Room was comfortable if a bit small. Sofa bed for the third guest is a bit hard. Bathrooms are compact but adequate and separate WC is useful when travelling with a teenager. Rooms have been renovated recently. Oddly, the safe was not yet secured to the cupboard. Reception and breakfast staff are friendly. There is a feeling of understaffing though. For example, the sofa bed had not been prepared on arrival. Breakfast choice is fine and varied. We did not have time to swim, but the pool area looks nice and the pool is quite large. From the parking, the hotel was full while we were there, but everything worked well. Some guests are completely inconsiderate when it comes to parking and yelling to each other, but that is not the hotel‘s fault. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again if in Nancy or in nearby Lorraine.

Vreemd hoor, er was wel tijd om mijn man te vertellen dat hij even zijn paspoort moest halen, maar zoals hier wordt gesuggereerd, geen tijd om te vertellen dat mijn kinderen niet welkom waren in het zwembad van de Spa. Meneer Julien GATINOIS, wij verblijven al heel wat jaren in goede hotels, heb zelfs gewerkt in één van de beste hotels in Washington D.C. , dus een zwembad met ”waterslides” is ook zeker niet wat wij zoeken. Wij zijn ook zeker bekend met ”adult only” hotels, maar zeker niet met een hotel waar mijn kinderen niet welkom zijn in het zwembad. Jammer dat gastvrijheid niet hoog bij jullie in het vaandel staat. Wij zullen in ieder geval hier nooit meer komen in Nancy en zullen ook niet kiezen voor een Best Western. Dit was de eerste keer bij jullie verblijven en ook de laatste. Review van week geleden: Mijn kinderen mochten niet het zwembad in om 17.00. Het was blijkbaar een adults only zwembad toen we al waren ingecheckt door mijn man en ik kater kwam met de kinderen. Erg onvriendelijk en ongastvrij. Kinderen mogen alleen morgenochtend even. Heb meteen maar gevraagd of mijn kinderen ook ergens anders niet welkom waren. We hadden juist geboekt voor het zwembad. We zullen hier in ieder geval nooit meer komen. When all the family came back from the parking, we then proceeded to the payment, the check in, and informed you about the special hours for the children in the spa : at 8:00 am or at 9:00 am from tuesday to sunday, and at 10:00 am and 11:00 am on monday. We do have a spa, not a campground pool with waterslides. The place is dedicated to calm and relaxation : that’s why children are not forbidden but have a limited access. Stayed here for one night as part of a group. The room was very nice but the air con was on so high that it was freezing. The bed was very comfortable but hot and the sheet slipped because of the waterproof cover underneath. Why is that necessary? The bathroom was good and the shower was efficient. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and it was great to get fruit. However we were not made welcome in the restaurant in the evening. We were a group of 4 and we were told that as we were part of the group from the bus we could not have a meal and could only order a pizza and take it to our room. I do not like food in my room and I was eating with friends as we were all in different rooms. Eventually we were told we could eat it in the restaurant but we’d have to order it from the bar. So we went to the bar and waited for 10 minutes then we were told to go back to the table and they’d serve us. We were served eventually then waited for ages for the pizza and after all that it was quite disappointing. They also ran out of Coca Cola Zero. The most annoying thing was to at there were quite a few of us there from the bus and lots of others were eating from the normal menu. We felt like 2nd class citizens. Your restaurant let you down in my star rating.

Located 5 minutes from the train station, this hotel is perfect for a layover. The staff provided good service and applied the public health measures with extra care, which is appreciated. A snacking offer is provided, and I was really glad to have a hot meal after all the restaurants were closed. The rooms are a little bit tiny but have everything needed, and the value is more than correct. I would definitely come back
