Fabulous pub if you are looking for a great place to eat whilst in Launceston. We had a quick family getaway to Launceston and this pub was recommended to us when we asked for a pub close by with good pub food. It did not disappoint the food was amazing. Great sizes not to big that you could not finish it. The flavours sensational! Beautifully presented meals that came out quickly after ordering and the price did not break the bank. There are a few areas to eat including an outdoor (full covered and enclosed) area which looked lovely but for these Queenslanders fresh off the plane was still a little chilly. We instead opted for indoors at the many high bars in the main bar. I would recommend making a booking as it was popular on the Friday night we went.

This place has good pub food, great friendly service and a warm a**osphere. It is family friendly too. I have eaten here a number of times and mostly had good meals. The staff have a good knowledge of wines and local beers and Tasmanian gin etc. happy to eat here anytime.

A tastefully decorated great inner city pub with very friendly staff and quality pub fare. Extensive menu options and a full bar serving the usual plus very nice cocktails. Definitely a place you would want to return to again.

At $41 for a steak I would’ve expected to of been able to change from vegetables to salad without extra cost. Sadly, because the service was great, the venue was nice and generally speaking it was really good, but it was let down by something so insignificant.

Good honest pub with friendly efficient staff . Excellent food Infact one of the best pub meals i have had . We were a party of four and we were all well pleased with our meals . The staff were very helpful with my husbands dietary issues . Really recommend highly for a counter meal .

Disappointing food. I’m not sure whether this is the usual standard produced but it was poor. The staff were super friendly. We ordered nachos and garlic herb bread. Both were extremely poor. Large servings. The herb bread was just some toast with a slight scraping of herbs/butter. Inedible as the bread tasted dry & serving that had been scraped on of herbs/butter didn’t even cover the bread. When we ordered the nachos we were told they were out of guacamole. That was fine by us. But what arrived was a very poor attempt at nachos. Appeared like CC’s, beans, a jar of salsa dip had just been thrown on a plate and microwaved with a massive amount of cheese on top. I hope this isn’t the usual standard & perhaps the chef was away that day, but I certainly won’t be returning. The bar itself had a lovely friendly vibe.

Such an amazing venue, the whole thing has been renovated and it’s SO much better than it used to be! We go there for dinner about once a month and have never had any complaints. The staff are lovely and always up for a laugh. It’s kid friendly and my partner gets to watch all kinds of sport so it’s a win win.

We frequently eat at this pub, normally great food and friendly service. However tonight’s meal was very disappointing, my scotch fillet steak was ordered medium and it was well over done, tough and dry. My husband ordered medium rare and it was also well done. Maybe the chef took the night off,but the pub just lost two frequent customers. We told the bar staff who said they would give feedback to the chef!!
