"From the moment we arrived at Broom Lodge, we knew we were in for a treat. The real heart of this guest house is the owner, Shona. She is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel like a regular guest from the first "hello." It is clear she works tirelessly to ensure every guest is well looked after; nothing is too much trouble for her. The lodge itself is maintained to an impeccable standard of cleanliness—everything was absolutely spotless. The location is perfect for exploring Largs, but the real showstopper is the wonderful view across the water to the Isle of Cumbrae. Waking up to that sight was the highlight of our trip. If you are looking for a warm, comfortable, and beautifully situated place to stay in Ayrshire, look no further. We can’t wait to return!"

"We’ve visited Largs for years and always say how good it would be to stay. The problem is there’s not a lot of accommodation in the town. We booked this Peacock guest house for an overnight stay. Pre check-in was well explained and your room key is in a lock box at the front door. All the instructions were clear and all work well. Personally we prefer the low key approach to guest houses. The room we had is on the first floor and was very well furnished, decorated and clean. All the other rooms are on the ground level. I would say that if you have any ailments precluding you from climbing stairs you might be better asking for a ground level room. The stairs are quite steep. Loads of nice touches in the room and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast is great. All the normal continental choice and also a breakfast that desperate dan would have trouble with. I managed it just but you can ask for as little or as much as you want. Everything was good quality and piping hot. The guest house is positioned nicely a short walk ( 5 minutes) from the train station and the town. All in all a great wee place and good value. We will return and would not hesitate to recommend it to others."

"Muitos "regras" ditaram para a chegada, por exemplo, desligar imediatamente a casa para "manter a casa limpa" (por que ter UMA escada cinzenta pálida e um tapete de aterragem?!) Pouco pensava EM UMA cláusula de chave Da porta Da frente. Uma chave por casal para ser trancada antes e depois de sair e entrar, sentimos que a pobre senhora que nos recebeu era a infeliz portadora de instruções de um chefe de tarefa duro. Pequeno-almoço não disponível ou até mesmo mencionado para um estadia relaxante, direcionar limpo. "
