Ideal ski-in/ski-out, only 50m from the main lifts in Lanslebourg Good heated swimming pool. A bit pricey, but inline with the competition. You can rent a self-catered apartment in the hotel slightly less money than a hotel room.

Great location, all staff were excellent could not do enough for you. short stays perfect, if you are staying for a couple of weeks or longer you may want to upgrade the room. Spa is excellent as is the Continental breakfast and choice. The hot options could have been better as could the variety of the Restaurant limited if staying longer but plenty of great alternatives around the villages. The entire hotel was spotlessly clean at all times would definitely recommend. Parking advertised as free but that was very limited so you had to pay for underground which was a shame and not expected. We have been coming to Val Cenis 2/3 weeks a year for over 20 years and this was our first visit to Saint Charles, we would come back again.

The place, the food and the rooms are great. But what makes me want to come back is the kindness and efficiency of all the people I met who work there. Went there twice, first in the summer for cycling two or so years ago. And lastly for a skiing short trip of 4 nights in half-pension.

Second visit to St Charles and our stay was superb again. Staff are friendly, food is great and the rooms are perfect. The location is about as good as it gets and we will be back. The slopes, ski school, equipment all within 1 min walk. Highly recommend

Very friendly staff, good food at the restaurant, and great location in the center of the village, in the same building as a ski shop. A few meters from the ski lifts. The only drawback: No supervision at the pool. Two British families couldn’t behave themselves and the wellness pool became a play area with much splash and jumping instead of a quiet place where we could relax. They didn’t even use the foot bath. We never saw a hotel staff checking on the quietness of the facilities… once we asked they say they couldn’t afford the extra people for that function…

Wonderful hotel, superb facilities, lovely staff, absolutely perfect location. Highly recommended. In spite of some negative reviews on Tripadvisor I can only say we had a wonderful week. The food is fantastic (sometimes slow in busy periods), location could not be better, staff all very helpful and friendly, bar area really nice, lovely big ski room and wonderful pool area which the kids loved.

We had a wonderful stay at Saint Charles. This place was ideal for a ski trip as the ski locker is right outside the slopes, ESF ski lessons start outside hotel please make sure to book these way in advance as the ski lessons do tend to sell out. The hotel is clean and made a lovely welcome package for our kids in arrival. The food in the hotel for dinner is average rating but we did enjoy the nice selection for breakfast. Location can’t be best for a holiday next to the mountain.

The hotel staff were passive aggressive when raising problems.We booked as half board but only ate in twice as very poor choice of menu , we also had to pay extra for some of the meal choices on the very limited menu. When we did eat in our food arrived at different times with a 20 minute gap between the first person to the last. On arrival there were no towels in our room and no toilet paper. The room was a classic and was so small we could not fully open the patio doors onto balcony as the bed was in the way.I asked to change rooms as the other 2 we had were bigger but was told they are the same , they most obviously were not. The breakfast buffet was tiny with only 2 hot choices , scrambled egg and bacon. I asked for runny honey and was told no so attempted to scrape solid honey from the jar which tasted like wax. On checkout i was the charged 12 euro for room service which i did not have and ended up arguing until they refunded this. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great family ski in ski out hotel with “residence service”, nice staff and restaurant. ESF (Ski school), Skiset (Ski equipment rental), and C2 (bar/restaurant) in the same building + ski lift 50 meters away makes all the ski trip very convenient. Recently build (2016 I think) with great cost benefit relationship.
