Hosted my wedding at this amazing venue. The location, beautiful sunsets, spacious rooms ***** with the cheerful staff helped in creating an experience that will stay with me for life. I would highly recommend this venue to everyone who is planning an intimate wedding surrounded by natural beauty.

Vanvasa Resort, nestled in the midst of a forest, is the best getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. The beautiful property offers spacious rooms, delicious food, and a pool with a stunning view, making it a complete package for everyone. With excellent guest service and entertainment including music, dance, and magic shows, it is owned by the esteemed Mr. Rawat, ensuring a great time for all. A very big resort with scenic view, rooms are very big in size and equipped with almost all aminities. Food is served with 😊. One thing that I like most is that rooms are quite far away from each other which is giving us complete privacy.

The drive to the resort is approximately 60 km on hilly terrain, so a skilled and calm driver is necessary. Additionally, there are no petrol pumps or medical shops after Kotdwara, so be prepared. The drive can be tricky for those with altitude sickness, but we had a pleasant experience. The last 3.5 km stretch towards the resort is full of adventure, with a poorly built hill road and numerous turns that add to the excitement. Upon arrival, we found a decent parking area and a nice reception, where we were served water and a cold black drink. However, I was expecting more options for welcome drinks. The room allotment process took only 10 minutes, and we were assigned room number 115 for the next two days. As we arrived at 2:30 pm, the hotel ***agement requested that we go directly to the restaurant, as lunch serving time was from 1:30 pm to 3 pm. Lunch was a little boring with simple food and a disappointing dessert. The swimming pool and sports facilities inside the resort were average and nothing noteworthy. In the evening, the ***agement organized a magic show for kids and a live music show for everyone, but surprisingly, they didn't serve evening tea. Dinner was served from 8 pm to 10 pm, and once again, it was below average. I would not rate it more than 2/5 for food quality. The next day, after an average breakfast, we left for the waterfall, which was about 8-9 km from the resort. After parking our car on the roadside, we did a 1.5 km hill trek and reached the waterfall in 25 minutes. The entire waterfall experience took two hours, and it was worth the visit. We returned to Vanvas Resort at 2:30 pm and went straight to lunch, which, once again, was average. The evening was full of music and dance, followed by an average dinner. Overall, Vanvas Resort is worth visiting once, especially for large family groups. The price point should not exceed 6K per night, and one should not expect good food throughout the journey. Based on my experience, I would rate Vanvas Resort 2.5/5.

This was a joint family trip and we were 5 adults ***** with 4 kids. We rented 03 cottages. The entire stay turned out to be just ok. I felt Resort was not maintained properly, epically the green areas. It certainly needed tending. Also AC's in the rooms were ineffective, as rooms are quite big. Food was towards good. Service was also good. I guess weather wise September to October and February to March is a good time to visit this place. June was very hot. It is a good property but is need of proper maintenance, at least it was when we visited.

Surrounded with lush green beauty, on top of the mountain and feel of Kalagadh and Jim Corbet national park, it’s completely peaceful place to be for some days. We really enjoyed our stay. Food is amazing, Mr frank is a good host with lot of talent(singing, anchor & conduct activities). Rawat sir.. we truly enjoyed your piano talent. Early in the morning 4 am i woke up with sound of deer grazing near our balcony, it was such a mesmerising experience. For me driving experience from Dugadha to resort was really adventurous. You would really pass through dense forest and it’s truly enjoyable as its kind of USP of this resort. resort has really nice pool. there is a waterfall nearby which is truly a treasure not to miss.

he tranquil and lush green resort is nestled amidst deep forests and provides panoramic views of the gorgeous mountains from its beautiful cottages. We were here for three nights over the Diwali weekend and enjoyed our time here, unwinding in the lap of nature and enjoying the delicious food and the service of the staff members. The property stands out for several reasons but what we found laudable is its model of sustainable development in an area that is pretty remote and sp****ly populated. Its owner Satender Rawat, whom we had the pleasure of meeting, has thoughtfully enriched the beauty of the place by planting a wide variety of species of plants and trees. The landscaping has been done meticulously to retain the original character of the hill. He has created employment opportunities for the locals and used his creativity to build this beautiful place over the last fifteen years. The crisp air is accentuated by the sense of wilderness that constantly errs over the place, which I found exciting. There is a beautiful swimming pool, a well-stocked library and plenty of areas to stroll around. Every corner offers fantastic views of the mountains. The staff is soft-spoken, prompt, and caring. Mr Rawat also played the piano for us, which we thought was sweet, and we appreciated his passion for nature, life, and music. We also drove down to a beautiful waterfall nearby. A piece of advice: do not forget to bring your towels and swimsuit when you visit. We would like to thank every member of the staff for making our Diwali holidays so relaxing.

If you are looking for a quite and serene place to get away from the hustle bustle of the city , this is the place for you. Beautiful location and equally beautiful property gives you an amazing experience to cherish. The resort is spread over a large area, with good accomodation and other recreational facilities. The live music by Mr Rajesh Frank in the evening is enthralling and the magic show by Mr Rajendra is what the children can look forward to and enjoy. These people are gems of Vanvasa. The staff is very good with special mention to the chefs at the place. We enjoyed our stay at the resort and look forward to another visit very soon. It is a paradise for nature lovers.

Go there, if you’re literally out there for a ‘Vanvaas’ with some real animals hanging out by your balcony. ( in our case, Langoors) Good things first— — Staff is amazing, super cooperative — You can be alone too in the entire several acre real unmanned jungles, we were, so just telling, however, they tried their best to make good of our time on some occasions — Food was awesome and great variety Not-so-good things— — Nowhere or no one tells you that it’s actually some 70-odd kms north of Lansdowne. The ride is so eerily spooky, the only sound you hear is of creatures you can’t see, we hardly saw 2-3 people on the route — The final 3.5 km uphill ride isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s unpaved, rocky, and STEEP in your face— watch your brakes Scary things— — Someone from the staff, only upon asking, told us we shouldn’t absolutely think about stepping out of the room at night and lock all the doors properly— coz, guess what the Bears and the Friends come out in open — Just so that you have the perfect experience, they also shut the lights down, pitch black, all across the property at night ( read jungle) — Even in broad daylight, you have a group of Langoors strolling around. We had a 4-year kid with us. She was scared like anything. Honestly, we don’t think we can ridicule it, maybe there are folks who like that kind of adventure. But for others, at least the property should issue some guidelines as to what they’re getting themselves into. Till then, if you need to go there—brace yourselves!!
