We initially hesitated to book this resort as we were not convinced by guest review photos lol... but after staying here (3 beach front rooms), I'm now convinced it's more of poor photography skills than anything.
The resort is beautiful. It's grounds have lush greenery and flowers. Both swimming pools are of a good size and is not overcrowded. The beach front has pristine white sand and at low tide, reveals sand full of life.. sea urchins (be careful), all sorts of shellfish and crabs.
All staff on the resort grounds were courteous and greet guests on sight. There is also a buggy service to get to the rooms and lobby area.
Buffet breakfast is excellent and the food changes up slightly everyday. There is also an Ala carte Cafe at the lobby but the food we tried wasn't great, the Fish and Chips was full of fish bones.
Overall however, we will gladly recommend Pelangi Beach Resort to anyone visiting Langkawi.

Love my stay here. Booked for seaview room but my room got blocked by a tree, requesting to change room for pleasant seaview and process are so smooth. Bellboy and receptionist so warm and helpful. Food breakfast are sooooo good love them! Definitely will come again!

It has been great. It has been refurbished but definitely rooms for improvement.. water play ground for kids needed some attention as I see rusted screws protruding which is unsafe.
Service can be better, or else with the similar price, tourist even local tourist can get better deal in Indonesia and Thailand. The hospitality and training must be improved.

Very close to the airport. Clean and nicely maintained resort. Good morning free yoga. And nice breakfast spread. The room was big and nice, overall a great experience!!! Recommend for a short stay

Positives
1. Excellent location.
2. Amenities in the resort is wonderful, lot of kids friendly stuff. Our little one enjoyed the animal farm, kids activity center and kids pool.
3. Pristine beach with white sand. Amazing view of sunset.
4. I opted for the morning walk with Mr.Selvam, highly recommend this. His energy level is amazing.
5. Very useful buggy service to get around the resort as the resort is large and our room was at a corner.
6. Service at Spice Market restaurant was excellent.
Negatives
1. They have two sets of towels, clean and new and yellow and dirty. We got the dirty stuff for 3 out of 5 days. One day, we asked for a replacement and still ended up using one we had with us instead.
2. The bathtub was also quite shabby. Getting it cleaned by the housekeeping staff did not help.
Overall positive experience, but could have been a great stay if these issues are addressed.

This hotel is amazing! Great location, beautiful scenery and amazing staff. Stayed in a lakeside view room and everything was perfect. Doesn’t feel like you’re staying in a ‘‘souless’ resort even though the resort itself is quite large, everything felt quite personal. Would definitely recommend and stay again. . Stayed during Ramadan so an even bigger shout out to the amazing staff- many would have been fasting but still continued to give everything.

I had a wonderful experience staying at pelangi resort. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a great place to stay at langkawi

One of the best hotel that I had stayed. I love the ambience. The staff also gives us the connecting room since family room for four person is not available here. And our rooms also facing the swimming pool directly. The breakfast also had many choices since they have 2 restaurants for guests to take their meals. Overall, I love to stay here and will repeat again another day.
