An accommodation with a lot of nice flair. The rooms are located in an old, very attractive and extensively renovated half-timbered house. An accommodation with a lot of charm, in the middle of a beautiful village on the Jagst cycle path. Perfect for Jagstweg cyclists who might want to switch between a simple hostel and stylish and spacious rooms. A simple snack for arriving guests can be ordered (although there is no evening restaurant service on 7/22). Top breakfast with lots of fresh ingredients. If you like it a little more cultivated, you are in good hands here. Slightly more expensive than other good ”country hotels” along the way, but the quality of the rooms and ambience justify the price. If you are planning a bike tour along the Jagst, you will find accommodation here that we absolutely recommend. Another guest wrote: ”Historic perfectly renovated house. Stylish, comfortable rooms. Own large bicycle garage with tools. Perfect for travelers on the Kocher-Jagst cycle path.” I can only agree with that. That's the way it is.

Wir waren im September für zwei Nächte in diesem Hotel. Das positive ist die Lage des Hotels mit einem schönen Ausblick. Auch die Speisenqualität im Restaurant ist ordentlich. Das war es dann auch schon. Denn beim Frühstück ist mit Warteschlangen zu rechnen bei der Kaffeemaschine, Säften und bei den Brötchen. Die Zimmer sind so klein, dass nicht einmal ein Schrank in dieses Zimmer passt. Auch das Bad ist winzig. Zwei Personen haben hier keinen Platz. Die absolute Unverschämtheit ist jedoch, dass man sich bei einer Beschwerde über den mangelnden Service von dem Kellner körperlich angehen lassen musste. Bereits am ersten Abend wollte der Kellner in der Bar uns die Karten nicht an den Tisch bringen und auch die Bestellungen sollten wir bei ihm an der Bar tätigen. Dies haben wir abgelehnt und haben uns bei der Rezeption beschwert. Daraufhin kam ein zweiter Kellner und hat unsere Bestellung aufgenommen und uns die Getränke serviert. Der erste Kellner sah hier wohl keine Veranlassung obwohl der Mitarbeit der Rezeption mit ihm gesprochen hat. Am zweiten Abend gingen wir wieder in die Bar. Vorher haben wir uns jedoch versichert, dass der Kellner vom Vortag nicht anwesend war. Die Bestellung und auch das Servieren der Getränke war zuerst problemlos. Aber es kam keine Nachfrage nach weiteren Wünschen obwohl unsere Gläser seit geraumer Zeit leer waren. Der Kellner war wohl überfordert und hatte wohl die Beschwerde, über seinen Kollegen, noch im Kopf. Wir hatten auch keine Möglichkeit zu bezahlen, da der Kellner uns einfach ignorierte. Als wir uns dann erneut bei der Rezeption über den mangelnden Service beschwerten und nach dem Hoteldirektor gefragt haben ( dieser war leider nicht zugegen ) kam der Kellner vom Vortag und hat uns angefasst und in seinem osteuropäischen Akzent beschimpft. Ein absolutes NOGO. Was wird denn hier für ein Personal eingestellt. Das Hotel brüstet sich mit vier Sternen. Diese sind absolut nicht gerechtfertigt. Wir werden den Vorfall auch beim Verband des Hotel-und Gaststättengewerbe melden. Dieses Hotel ist eine Unverschämtheit. Wir können nur jedem anraten dieses Hotel zu meiden. Wir werden jedenfalls nie wieder einen Fuß in dieses Hotel setzen.

At the old Tradition Hotel there appeared to be a change of owner only recently. At the reception we have almost never spoken German. It went only in English. The Superio room was a disappointment. It did not correspond to the images from the Internet. Only after massive demand (in English) we got another room under the roof. That was really a romantic room. We were then satisfied. The biggest disappointment was then at breakfast. This was all worth more than a 4-star hotel. We were there more than an hour before the end and the buffet was completely devoured and was no longer filled. Cheapest backbrushes and too long in the oven. There are no cooked eggs. Wood and cheese are only cheap discount products. Cheaply packed marmelade. No glasses at the juices. No fresh fruit salad just out of the box. And there are only rests floated around. Breakfast is not going at all. We haven't even served this in a simple hospitality. Very bad about this historic hotel. We bought from an Indian consortium and then continued to the minimum. The 2 stars I gave only because of the beautiful old historic room.

The restaurant offers good food, but at a pricely higher level. Price / performance just fits just like that. The hotel is ok, the normal rooms are relatively small, but sufficient. Our room was a little older and had one of the hotel's typical plastic washing basin, which was already yellowish. Also the water has not passed reasonably. There is a need to renovate some. The shower was clean, but the silicone seals should also be renewed once. We had also a small balcony. Unfortunately the floor of the balcony was severely polluted with dust-drop. But the housemaster did it immediately after we had reported it. There is only a disabled park pact, which appears with something too little. The parking place behind the hotel is relatively small and was always almost completely located during our visit, so you had to park on the street or a public parking place.

My husband, 22 year old son and I stayed here for 2 nights in May 2022. We had a single room for our son (Room 23), and we had a standard double room (Room 10). Room 10 was large wtih a bed and two nightstands at the far end, a loveseat and coffee table, a desk, and a wardrobe area. It had skylights to let in lots of natural light, as well as a window that opened. The bathroom was large and modern, with a walk-in shower and a decent sized vanity. The staff was so friendly whenever we had questions, and they cared a lot about making sure we had what we needed. The hotel was so convenient to the Burggarten park, as well as just two blocks from the main square (Marktplatz). The best thing about the hotel was the lovely back courtyard where the dining room opened onto. We ate every meal there because the weather was so pleasant. Surrounded by lush flowers and greenery, it was such a beautiful setting. The food was delicious, and the lillet wild berry spritz cocktail was wonderful too! The breakfast, which was included in the cost, was typical German breakfast that we saw in other hotels on our stay as well. Lots of homemade pastries, cheeses, meats, cereal, etc. They would make you made to order eggs if you wanted them as well. Every inch of the hotel was spotlessly clean. It was so well maintained, and you can tell they care a lot about maintaining it for guests. Everything was in perfect working order. We wish we could have stayed longer, and we would definitely stay here again. A wonderful value for the money and our favorite hotel that we stayed in during our 2 week trip in Bavaria!

We stayed in the Guesthouse and found the room to be very enjoyable for a 3 people combo (couple + mother in law). Ups Location You live where others endlessly take selfies (people will probably ask you to take pictures of them when you exit feom the hotel and be wary of excursions camping before the entrance. Everything is nearby. Friendly staff, ready to answer any questions and help Tasty breakfast buffet (we especially liked the selection of fresh fruit and coffee) exclusive view of the Tauber valley in the breakfast ”blue” room. Game room with billiard, air hockey, and foosball. Dog- and child-friendly. Good value for money. comfortable parking next door (costs 8.5 eur per night but is worth the price). Downs WiFi rather flaky in the guest house. very old locks in the room doors, no safe: best don't put valuables in your room. Side-note: This is the oldest hotel in Rothenburg still in operation. It was founded 300 years ago. If history is your knack, this is the place to be.
