Near minivan , train station to, from Bangkok.
Can rent scooter from hostel, if run out, there are scooters rental near by.
It has roof top bar, very nice breakfast canteen..however there is no cooking facilities, but no need to do any cooking, because Thai food are so good and so cheap.
There is a night food market just right across the road, many street food and restaurants near by.
Good place to stay before heading to Khao Yai.
Hostel is in centre of Pak Chong, there is a very big Chinese temple near by, where people practices Tai Ji every evening.
Big C and Lotus is not far away can go there to do shopping and, or eating in nice food court there.
Be aware of riding scooter and safety especially to the Dam, which have to ride on free way with cars and trucks all running at 100+ km/ hour, if renting a 125 cc scooter would be unsafe on fast free way, where there are motorbike lands too, but unpredictable safety on bike land, eg rocks or slippery sand, pot holes or sometimes truck or cars just parking on these land. And very dangerous and unsafe to make U turn with little scooter which has not enough power to change land in on running very fast traffic. Those no experience with riding scooter should just join tours for your own safety.
People in Pak Chong are very nice and friendly.

A la recherche d’authenticité de la nature thaïlandaise, c’est un véritable passionné que nous avons trouvé. Cédric nous a fait découvrir la jungle avec notre fils de 11 ans . Accueilli par toute l’hospitalité et la chaleur humaine thaïlandaise de son épouse Potjana, le confort des gîtes en pleine campagne non sans oublier la cuisine parfumée et souriante de Nut nous préparait à 2 jours de treck dans l’immensité du parc khao yai. Seul guide francophone , Cédric mise avant tout sur la sécurité dans un monde à la fois époustouflant et hostile, accompagné de 2 guides supplémentaires . Repérant les traces et chants d’animaux , humant les odeurs d’éléphants, c’est en véritable trappeur qu’il a su nous instruire . La cohésion, l’empathie et l’expérience de son équipe tant au Resort qu’en pleine forêt en fait une destination de choix, authentique loin des organisations touristiques de masse à recommander pleinement. The accommodation is very good. The staff are very friendly. There is a swimming pool to play with. In the room there is a kettle, there is a refrigerator. And the balcony has a rail for drying clothes as well. There are a variety of food, both Thai food, European food. Food prices are considered medium. Not expensive, plus delicious.
