The room was very comfortable and clean, the room had everything we need. The Breakfast is Excellent, the people very friendly. When we ask some thing, them always did. The guest house in the middle of Town, close to shop restaurant pubs and Bus station, good place to stay.

We had a lovely stay, Ann and Andy were fabulous hosts, the room is very clean and in a great location. The breakfast set us up for a day of hiking. We would definitely recommend this guest house as it’s great value for money in the centre of Ambleside.

A fantastic stay, lovely location, I will go there again when we make it back up to the lakes. The food was plentiful & very well cooked, also a nice choose. The rooms were clean, with a good shower, plentiful tea & coffee if wanted. I'm lucky to have picked Cambridge Villas.

Great location, quiet at night despite being very central, friendly staff. Felt short changed by the breakfast, billed as full English on the website and even listed on a notice in the bedroom as a 'generous full English' breakfast it was more of a 'half-English', consisting only of scrambled egg, sausage, beans and hash brown. It was served from 8.30am, late for any early risers wanting to get up and out on the fells after a hearty breakfast start to the day. The food was good, could have just had more variety to it to match the 'full English' billing.

A warm and friendly reception from Andy and Ann made our stay here really enjoyable. Perfectly situated in the centre of Ambleside giving easy access to a great variety of pubs and restaurants. We had a pleasant, well-equipped room and a comfortable bed. Fresh and tasty breakfast too!

Stayed for 3 glorious days in this B and B. Highly recommended-comfortable room spotlessly clean-warm welcome and attentive service from Andy. Self help continental breakfast with some hot options as well. Perfectly positioned to e joy all Amblesides many attractions.

Nice safe clean Bnb with on road parking. My single en suite room was small but had good comfortable facilities including kettle/coffee/tea + a biscuit & bottle water on arrival. My 3 day stay was a working stay leaving at 8am so i missed 8.30am daily breakfast :( The room was not cleaned or restocked during my stay.

Welcoming host - helpful, good humour. Rooms were clean, beds comfy and all required amenities included. Nice fresh breakfast - scrambled eggs and other cooked options, fresh fruit salad, bircher muesli etc. Perfect base for exploring the fells. Excellent value. Would definitely return. Thanks Andy!
