Very enjoyable stay for two nights. Complete kitchenware enables me to cook formal meals. Room overlooking to Tekapo lake brings me unforgettable beautiful scene, relaxing and joyful. The balcony is awesome. Sitting there I can see the lake and the grass near by. The sitting room, dinning room and the kitchen are all spacious. The bedroom is adjacent to grassland. I woke up in the warm beam of sunshine in the morning and opened the floor-to-ceiling window. I was immediately in the nature. This is the most favorite hotel that I and my husband feel in our trip this time.

The female dorm room (4) was awesome. There were plenty of outlets to charge devices, plenty of storage for each person's luggage, comfy and spotless beds, and the room was super warm in winter! The hostel is quiet and modern, with gorgeous views across Lake Tekapo and a brilliant lounge with beanbags and sofas overlooking the view. The staff were super lovely and helpful. The bathrooms and kitchen were very clean. The location is right in the centre of the town near to the supermarket and Dark Sky Project centre.

This is a cute little boutique hotel situated near to Lake Tekapo and 15 mins drive to Mount John. It is good location as it is very near to the city centre where many shops, restaurants and a big supermarket are located. The service of this hotel is tip top and they serve breakfast to your room on a daily basis so we can eat while enjoying the lake view . Breakfast is great as well and I would like to give special comment about this hotel staff (Yvonne) who is very helpful and friendly and made good recommendation where to visit around Lake Tekapo. The room although not too big but it has a starlight which we can gaze the stars from the bed, it is quite interesting (but the room has to be in complete darkness). It is also near to the Church of the good shepherd and the view is so spectacular sitting just beside the lake.

This place has everything you would ever want! The kitchen is overstocked with every cooking need that a regular home has. It has a garage for your car, a washer & dryer in your apartment, a cute fireplace, books, King bed with ensuite, a second bedroom with 2 single beds plus another bathroom. There are added touches, like slippers on your bed, coffee, tea, salt & pepper, olive oil. It's close to the lake and in a very quiet area. Loved this place!!

Easy check in, very friendly, accommodating staff. Mantra was perfect for a family stay. There was plenty of room for the family, a good outside space and the garage in the middle of winter was fantastic. The upstairs heating in the bedrooms was amazing. However downstairs - main living, tv, kitchen, dining room was freezing. The gas fire was ineffective in the negative temperatures and even with an extra heater (which we requested), we were cold when downstairs. They have everything needed for a stay - full kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Staff were great.

This B&B was fabulous. We stayed for two nights to explore the Lake Tekapo area. Our room was large, beautifully appointed and super clean. We had a private balcony, tea and coffee (fresh coffee!) making facilities and a large bathroom too. Our host, Ann-Maree, welcomed us upon arrival, and was so friendly and helpful. She had made a dinner reservation that evening for us at a local restaurant but also offered to cancel if it didn’t suit. It did - and we really enjoyed our evening. She also suggested a trail to walk in the Mount Cook National park the next day, which we did and it was just stunning. Her local knowledge and advice meant we had the best of stays. The breakfast in the morning was excellent too. Home made muesli, bread. Fresh fruit. Cooked eggs, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, the full works. And of course….more (fresh) coffee! I can’t recommend this gem highly enough. Thank you Ann-Maree x

The lodge is in a beautiful location overlooking the lake and a short walk to town. The room was spacious and airy with large glass doors filling the room with light. There was space to sit outside to enjoy the view. The room was spotless and well equipped. There was a large bathroom. A suggestion would be to have bulk toiletries rather than the waste of little plastic bottles. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, and we had a decent view from a ground floor apartment. I agree with other reviews though - I’d request an upstairs apartment if we ever had the opportunity to return. Upstairs neighbors were quite loud (which is not the owners’ fault) and I think than an unobstructed view would’ve been lovely. We did love staying here though, as it was a beautiful place and a good home base for hiking at Aoraki/Mount Cook NP. If you’re jet lagged, make sure you go outside to check out the stars. They were absolutely beautiful here!

It's really a super super comfortable room! I give it five stars for design, comfort, convenience and sanitation! Floor-to-ceiling windows, small yard... All kinds of tableware in the kitchen are complete and clean! All kinds of customer service are also in place. The elderly and children are reluctant to leave and fall in love with this place! We are couple with a 5 year old girl. We paid SGD697.85 (Singapore dollar) for staying 2 nights in this “2 bedroom apartment” as stated. 3 points here to explain the terrible experience. 1. tv remote is not working. I don’t mind the owner making excuse like “ replied customer’s message within 20mins…..” but they actually took 29mins to reply (19:10 till 19:39). In fact, they didn’t manage to change the tv remote in the end. So I stayed 2 nights without using the TV! 2.there is no clear and obvious description that this “2 bedroom apartment” is actually an adjoining unit which means when u walked into the front door then there are 2 doors link to split parts of the apartment. The problem of adjoining units are thin walls are used to split the apartment into 2 small units. When u stay in this kind of apartment, u have to endure all kind of noises from whoever staying in neighboring rooms. We had 2 days enduring guesting from the other room shouting, slamming the door, kids screaming like crazy both early in the morning and afternoon! 3. When I reflect this bad experience with trip.com customer service, this hotel responded like they have no fault at all and played with words. This attitude makes us feel like being fooled. We paid money to expect to stay in an apartment with privacy and quiet environment but indeed we had such a bad experience! In this market, if it’s an adjoining unit, they should not charge at the rate as if it’s an entire apartment. I’m alright that they rejected to refund the extra amount they charged. Just have to reflect the facts in the review. Thanks.
