Bamboleo Inn Belize

My young adult children needed to catch an early flight out of Belize City and this hotel was conveniently located. Their stay there was comfortable and the rooms were clean. Beyond that, they said the owners and staff were amazing. They assisted them with transportation, dinner, etc. 5/5 for making them feel comfortable during their stay.

I was the only person staying at Bamboleo Inn. I chose to overnight here given the reviews and proximity to the airport. When I arrived, I was shown to my room by the caretake. The ceiling fan did not work and the room was VERY musty. When asked about it, I was told that I could use the AC. Although the AC worked, I could not adjust it. The control did not work and it was stuck at 24 degrees Celsius. This should have been cool enough but the AC unit needed refrigerate or something as it dod not cool. I could only get warm air to blow all night long. No other rooms were offered when asked about these issues even though I was the only person staying there. When I asked about breakfast, which was suppose to be included, the caretaker told me that since I was leaving at 730am, there would be no breakfast available because she did not arrive until 8 am. This was never mentioned in the website. It seemed that the caretake could not get out of there fast proving minimal details. On a positive note, the place was clean and very close to the international airport. This could be a good place top stay but there are some issues.
