Great rooms fast internet for Belize lots of deferred maintenance on these places. It’s for sale so that figures. Mosquitos are bad. They need netting over the beds

The resort is quiet, isolated, clean, and well protected. Older but decently maintained. Ashley and Ben were amazing. They take excellent care of their guests. The food and bar service is limited, but nice. If you want a quiet reasonably affordable place to stay this is the place for you. It is well protected by the dogs that live on the place which are very good natured and friendly if you are suppose to be there. Which they seem to know. Loveable puppies and dogs.

People were nice. Connecting for a ride across river was difficult. Shower and kitchen fixtures barely functional. All local food options closed on Mondays.
Go ahead and make your way to the airport directly from your destination.

Property was technically close to the airport, however you had to cross a river to get to the main roads therefore needing additional arrangements with the hotel staff.

We stayed at River Bend Resort for one reason: it was close to the airport.
And it is indeed very close to the airport, about 250 meters from the end of BZE’s runway (but not in its flight path).
Beyond that, it was clean and secure in a city known for its crime. Security is provided by the moat that the Belize River supplies. The main road into Belize City is on the other side of the river, and access is by boat provided by the resort.
The property itself has a funky charm. The word “Resort” may be a bit of a stretch, but it was exactly as I expected. They provide a clean, convenient property that was unexpectedly quiet, given its airport location.

The staff is wonderful! You feel like you are in a secluded jungle getaway but only 5 minutes from the airport. Great communication.
