Hotel Goco Stay Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi

I asked and was made aware that it is a Family owned hotel. The owners (husband and wife) were hands on. They were very helpful and pleasant. The area was very convenient to restaurants and shops but most especially just steps away from Nishiki Market. Walking distance to Gion. We highly recommend. We had an excellent experience at Hotel GOCO. It's a very well managed, clean and comfortable hotel. The staff are fantastic, courteous and very helpful. They helped us with restaurant reservations (you need one for popular restaurants) and booking taxis. The hotel is in central location, close to many shopping centers, and metro stations, it's close to walk to many tourist attractions. Highly recommended.

Can't beat this location, it is pretty much in the market. Staff were lovely and personally explained everything in the room which was a nice touch. Washing machine worked perfectly and the rooms are large for Japan. Only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the bed wasn't very comfortable.

The staff at hotel GOCO was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. There is also a lovely rooftop terrace to enjoy when you get back and want to relax. Walking distance from Nishiki Market, Ninja and Samurai Museum, and more. Definitely recommend. Thank you, hotel GOCO!

What a wonderful hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Perfect location near the Nishiki Market, shopping, walkable to Gion, and near all the temple / shrine bus stops. Having laundry available in the room was very appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel.

Goco is located in an extremely convenient place. Near the train station, near the famous food street, near all the things about Kyoto. Room is equipped with laundry and microwave and it is very clean!! I loved the simple clean design of room. We will definitely stay here again😊👍🏼.

My mom and I had a wonderful stay! The hotel was beautiful and kept very clean. The staff were very kind and even recommended us many restaurants and activities to do in the area. The location was superb - we were able to come and go in between sightseeing activities as it is centrally located. Would 100% recommend staying here!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Best hotel experience I have had in Japan so far. Big room - washing machine - separate toilet to bathroom - kitchenette. AMAZING STAFF !!!! Unbelievablly helpful and never stopped assisting us right up until we left !
