Kyoto Hana Hostel

This place is really cool, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. (They even let me store my luggage a few hours before my check in which I’m very grateful to them for!) The place is very clean and cleaned daily, the rooms are a usual set up where you make your own bed up with two sheets a pillow case. The kitchen is big with all you need to cook and they even offer free tea and coffee. The bathrooms are set up very well and the whole place is very cosy and comfortable with great people to make friends there! It’s very close to Kyoto station and a bunch of attractions. You can take 1 bus to the bamboo forest and monkey mountain too! If you’re looking for a hostel in Kyoto I think it’s hard to find a better one than this.

Clean and cozy. Good location within walking distance from Kyoto station. Well equipped kitchen facilities. Good wifi service. Helpful staff.

住的四人房互不影響，就是晚上運轉設備燥音太響，公共設施少，如花園、平台沒有。唯一優點距京都站近價格便宜。

日式榻榻米不錯，需要自己鋪墊子鋪被子，老房子沒有電梯，需要自己提很重的行李上樓

房間無窗，小，乾淨沒得説，離車站很近

Loved staying at Hana Hostel. Staff was very cool. Very willing to help with any questions about Kyoto, and they provided some great recommendations for restaurants, etc, There is an amazing Gyu-Katsu restaurant just down the street, and for music lovers, check out "Davada Coffee and Records" just around the corner. The owner there makes awesome Cafe Latte, has a great selection of vinyl at very reasonable prices. Very easy to get to Hana Hostel from Kyoto station. Just use google maps and you can stay in the underground until popping up ver near the entrance of Hana Hostel.

I stayed in Hana Hostel for one night and had a bunk bed. When I arrived early, I was informed that the room was not ready yet, but I could leave my luggage in the luggage room. Also, the staff settled my registration and showed me around the hostel. There is a pretty large kitchen with free tea and coffee that you can brew. I enjoyed the genmaicha here. In this space, you can also interact with other guests. Wifi here is generally strong but it can disconnect you at times. Like any hostel, you are expected to fit your own sheets in the bed, and remove them at check out. The bed was pretty comfortable and I liked that they provided curtains around the bunk beds for privacy and to block out the light in the event you want to sleep earlier than other bunk bed guests. The shower has soap and shampoo provided. If you didn't bring your own towel, you can rent one for ¥100. Overall this was a pretty good stay, and I liked that Lawson's was just on the opposite street so it was easy to get breakfast.
