Fairmont Yangcheng Lake

Room is big and clean, service is good, with a huge park for kids to play, so good for staycation.

That’s a nice hotel for a weekend break or just to relax for some days. Surrounded by a beautiful park area this hotel offers all activities one may require like a nice pool zone, two restaurants and a gym. The rooms are spacious and soundproof. Great location!!

We spent 3 nights at the Fairmont on Yangcheng Lake recently the second week of Chinese New Year. The hotel and accomodation was excellent. We were kindly upgraded to the Fairmont Gold floor and were fantastically looked after by the team there. The rooms were large, with good facilities and quality finishing (loved the shower especially). The hotel has massive gardens and outdoor activities to do (we did some Archery) and is linked to a farm as well. It also has an indoor pool and gym area too. With the weather so cold the outdoor activities were limited (no Kayaking etc). It would have been good if they had a table tennis / pool table / darts area for indoor activities. With the location there are no supermarkets or restaurants near by so you are restricted to the hotel. The breakfast buffet was expansive and great quality. The room service options were varied and good quality and they did have a Chinese restaurant open each night. The buffet restaurant is only open at night on the weekend. If we came again we would come in warmer weather when the water sports were open and the outdoor pool was open to really get the most out of the stay.

I like how Fairmont Yangcheng Lake has many activities inside the hotel. I tried kayaking and it’s quite nice in the summer. The room is spacious and nice view from the balcony. For me, the outdoor swimming pool is the best facility of the hotel. I enjoyed the time staying in Fairmont. Especially I just met another Indonesian who happens to be the staff in the hotel! And she’s really helpful.

A place worth less than half of what it charges as it offers no quality at all. A shame for the hotel brand, there’s nothing positive in this place. Awful food (seriously poor quality), smelly corridor, worst smell inside the rooms, a menu that feels from the 80s and food quality at the level of a convenience store (or less), a bar that doesn’t work, never opens, all this for an insanely overpriced fee. The public park next to the hotel has better facilities.

We stayed here for a weekend as a break. The outdoor pool is nice and there are parks and gardens to explore around the lake. The dinner was good and we had fun just relaxing around the hotel.

One of the best place for kid near Shanghai. We’ve enjoyed lots of activities with kind care and service. Outdoor swimming pool and gym was very good to enjoy. Fairmont is one of the good place to have a restful trip near Shanghai as it’s a bit dangerous to go out far away these days

Not good experience, particularly the breakfast is really not good. So crowded, full of people, nasty table- saw a fly on napkin. Quite a few pots were empty, no foods filled in. Quality of food is definitely not rated. Additionally, service is really not appreciated. My 11 years old son was asked to pay adult breakfast fee when we checked in breakfast, even his body height is less than 1.5m. They admitted him as child after checking his height. That's no good impression at all. Hard to believe that is a world brand hotel.
