I stayed here many times, and always am happy to return. Excellent for the price. Very nice buffet dinner, excellent 360 roof top view from gym, great staff, great location across street from Green Lake.

Room is large and well equipped. Housekeeping very efficient. Gym small and the guy on the front desk is awful and needs replacing. Breakfast great but only one coffee machine. Location good can walk to Plaza 66 for good restaurants. Worse thing at the hotel is smoking is allowed in All areas-so you eat and sleep in a fug of second hand carcinogens. Yuck Eric Zhang on front desk did not bother to greet me in any way, kept his head down and avoided eye contact 5stAr? Nope

The hotel is well located and allowed us to make our way within 10 mins to the Kunming train station. However we find the bed too firm for us. Didn't have breakfast at the restaurant but staff accommodated our request to pack some food for our trip early morning out of Kunming. Napping street and old Kunming old street are worth a visit. We had walked from Wen Lin street through the Jade lake to the old street. I highly recommend this walk, lovely!

We were passing through Kunming on our way to other places in Yunnan. This was a fine, corporate hotel for a one night stay. It's centrally located, had a clean enough room, was comfortable, and we slept well. Honestly, we don't remember much about our experience there as we stayed at about six hotels after this one. It was the least memorable of the hotels we stayed at however I think this is the hotel's strength: a big, known quantity that has rooms that you could easily imagine if you closed your eyes and thought about it. One thing: the building was a bit old and it seemed every so slightly run down, but still, it was good for what it was.

The concierge service is very good. They will take the initiative to pick up the luggage when you get off the car and deliver it to the room. The environment and service of the Chinese restaurant are also good, and the dishes taste great. Thanks to the sales beauty Catherine. She learned that it was my father's birthday and sent a birthday cake to the room. The restaurant department will also help heat up the food. The breakfast is also good, with a lot of choices! I will recommend it to friends and stay again!

Excellent stopover hotel. Clean and fairly sized rooms. Remember to specify non-smoking room if that bothers you. We were moved immediately upon request. Good location fairly walkable to pedestrian streets and with interesting bars right next to it. But also due to this there was noise from the square downstairs.

The location is excellent. The service is first-rate, and the staff are very friendly and thoughtful. The room is very comfortable, taking into account the needs of children. The hotel's swimming pool and gym are also very good, and the breakfast is rich. Disadvantages include an old TV, a loud impact sound when the cabinet door is closed without buffering, and the bathtub is worried about slipping. But overall, the disadvantages are not enough to outweigh the advantages, and I am willing to stay again next time.

I've been paying attention to this hotel for a long time. I finally checked in on my mother's 61st birthday. First of all, I would like to thank Ms. Popy Cai, the girl at the front desk. Her professional and meticulous service was great. She took the initiative to help us upgrade to executive room, gave us executive treatment, and sent us flower cakes and seagulls. The next day, she unexpectedly learned that it was my mother's birthday and helped decorate the room. When I came back from outside and opened the door, my grandmother and the baby were stunned. Ms. Zhang Lujiang from the housekeeping department also sent the child a construction vehicle toy, which was really nice. The only drawback was that the drinks in the mini bar in the guest room were charged, and they didn't seem to be very expensive.

InterContinental hotel locates near Kunming's DianChi - 滇池 within walking distance. The hotel resort is relatively huge and it took me quite a while from my room to the lobby. So if you hate walking, this maybe something you need to consider. Furthermore, the room facilities are kind out of date especially the toilet which is a minus compared with other 6-star hotel. The restaurant especially the Chinese restaurant is not where you would get local Yunnan flavor, so avoid it if possible. In general, this is a resort hotel which is much better than any of the resort hotels I have visited in the West Coast of US. So I would still recommend it for anyone visiting Kunming, China.

The hotel is amazing. Very very comfortable, clean, modern concept and not to mention the super duper helpful and friendly staff. In room amenities are good and there is a super cool ceiling projector too. Breakfast is also very good. Location is also very convenient. Alot of restaurants and street food within walking distance.
