"this just might be a money laundering business. because how can you not offer hospitality while you are selling a commodity. fyi if you have a inconvenience you are better off paying them for hospitality because it is not included in the price. this place is cheap just like it's owner. atleast i enjoyed my trip on the island but everytime i had to go back to this place i just got disgusted. ugh"

"As suites Aqua Viva são o meio perfeito entre aluguer de casa e ficar no hotel.Gostei de não ver ou ouvir muitas pessoas (mesmo nos espaços comuns). A propriedade TEM hambúrguer e UMA piscina que não estava ocupada Quando EU fui para elas.Tenha cuidado para parar de comprar café e fruta fresca, porque você está sozinho para o pequeno-almoço. No entanto, as quartos têm placas, copos, artefactos de prata e frigorífico/congelador para que possam fazer refeições leves.É bom beber o meu café de um moinho enquanto estiverem na privacidade do meu quarto! A localização é conveniente para o aeroporto, lojas de mergulho e restaurantes.Recomendo Aqua Viva!"

Sonrisa Boutique Hotel - Adults Only

"We spent a fantastic holiday on Bonaire and stayed 10 days at Sonrisa, a small, cozy resort with clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and delicious home-baked bread for breakfast. Unfortunately, there was also a downside that affects my rating. When we arrived, the manager explained that diving on the east coast depends heavily on the weather and that the next day might be the only opportunity. He offered to arrange a guide for USD 55 per person per dive. We agreed, and the next morning the guide convinced us to do two dives instead of one. On the last day, however, our bill showed USD 70 per dive. When we politely asked about the difference, we were told that prices were published online and that the manager could not have quoted the wrong rate. After asking for clarification, Beat, the owner, replied that it was “word against word,” insisted the manager had given the correct price, and said he was “sick of playing games.” That felt like an accusation of dishonesty. I said we would pay the higher rate but expressed disappointment about how it was handled. Beat then said he would “turn the tables” (German: den Spiess umdrehen), accusing us of treating the rental car badly and charging USD 50 for “excessive dirt.” In my view, some sand inside a car is normal on a sandy island. Beat remarked that he wouldn’t have said anything if we had removed the sand from the floor mats, something he could easily have asked us to do in five minutes. (On the first bill, this charge did not appear.) In that context, Beat also brought up an earlier incident when he believed we had scratched the car (which turned out, after rinsing, to be only dust) and claimed we had driven into salt water in the national park (which was not true). Another point future visitors should know: Sonrisa tracks its rental cars via GPS, something not mentioned to us. Beat used this to accuse me of speeding as evidence of poor car care. While it might be possible I exceeded the limit occasionally, I drove much more slowly than most locals, and roughly at the same pace as the hotel staff during our airport transfer. Without this unpleasant ending, I would have clearly recommended Sonrisa. Most of our stay was excellent, but the final day and the way the disagreement was handled were disappointing."

"Once again very well received. The food was super tasty and the location is ideal to stay as a diver or as a tourer. We have been here 7 years ago and have noticed that the accommodations need some refreshment. The swimming pool can be busy because of the locals and schools."

Belnem House Bonaire

"This year we went to Bonaire for the 2nd time, not a combination trip but booked separately. Communication from the Netherlands via WhatsApp is perfect. Upon arrival, Jonathan was already waiting for us with the rental car. The apartment is fully equipped, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, washing machine and a combination oven. Even an American refrigerator with ice cubes, free WiFi, streaming TV and safe, everything is there. Our wish was to be on the ground floor so that the children could easily go to the pool and to have 2 separate beds for them. We were able to tick off both wishes immediately. There is a bar at the pool where you can grab your own drink, just write it down on the form and it will be settled. Just a matter of trust. As soon as you leave the site and turn left, you will be in the Caribbean Sea after 100 meters. If you want to explore the island, a car is recommended, which Belnem House itself has. So you don't have to leave the house for this. In summary, we had a great holiday, partly because of Britt, Charles and Jonathan who greet you with a smile every day. You guys are doing well there and everything is being arranged. Next year we want to visit another island, otherwise we would definitely have chosen your Belnem House again!"

"We rented a private condo in the complex. 2 bed 2 bath ocean view.This is not a hotel or a fancy resort. It is studios and condos in a safe complex with a pool and tennis court.Many are private residential and it is very peaceful. Fantastic for diving right off the pier.snorkel or small private beach. easy walk to great restaurants. Quick drive to the town or up to the north dives. Quiet and clean."

"O nosso apartamento era muito espaçoso e tinha uma terraço/viver com tudo o que você poderia precisar durante uma visita a Bonaire. O pick-up de um aeroporto de complimentação foi um verdadeiro tratamento após a nossa longa viagem de Amesterdão.Também gostávamos que fossem fornecidos máscaras de snorkel, sapatos de água e toalhas de praia. A localização é excelente também: tanto a cidade de Kralendijk como um pequeno centro comercial com um grande restaurante italiano estão a uma distância fácil de caminhar, por isso você nem sempre precisa de um carro. O nosso anfitrião, Karin, foi excepcionalmente útil e bem-vinda durante toda a nossa estadia, e, em geral, é o lugar perfeito para umas férias relaxantes e memoráveis em Bonaire."
