Belle Epoque Residence

What a beautiful place, the apartment we stayed in was self catering we had three rooms one was a studio without balcony, studio apartment with balcony and family apartment with two floors but every apartment was spotless and so comfy and had everything you needed and if it hadn't reception was more than happy to help, there's a shop next door for snacks drink or anything else you need, there is no bar or restaurant in the hotel but your just a ten minute walk away from the square which not only is stunning, has beautiful architecture but so many bars shops and eateries, the locals are very friendly and more than willing to help if you need directions, it's a must place to go.

We stayed in a Superior One Bed Appartment. The appartment was very clean and equipped as per the description - there was no microwave and toaster on the description and true to their word these were not in the appartment. We ordered the breakfast box for three. We were expecting a little box each. What we received could have fed for or five people. It was a quality continental breakfast. We arrived after the receptionist had left. There were clear instructions on the desk about the out of hours number to call. We collected our door cards from a key box on the wall. As an added security measure the number of the key box did not correspond to our room number. If only the travellers who tried getting in our room around 2 a.m. had paid more attention to the remote receptionist. It turned out that the number to open our key safe was the same number to access the safe in the appartment. In keeping with its eco credentials the air con only works when all the windows and doors are closed. The bathroom was very nice with a bath, a shower over the bath and plenty of hot water. The bath sides were a little higher than normal. Something To consider if (like my mother) you struggle to get into a bath. The appartments are situated in a quieter part of the city but are ideally placed for getting to the Main Square and are a 20 minute walk away from the Jewish Quarter. A great appartment and I wouldn't hesitate in going back.

Firstly can I say if there was a half score this would be a 3.5 out of 5 but as this review did not deserve a 4 I had to review as a 3. I will start with the good points. Although the hotel reception is not always manned both times we needed help we got it so we cannot fault the customer service. The position of the hotel in relation to the city was great for us, a 10 minute walk in which suited us fine. We had 2 rooms (will explain more later) and both rooms were lovely, beds comfortable, showers powerful and both apartments nice and clean. Internet was also brilliant. Now for the bad points. There was a really annoying banging noise the whole time we were there, we could not fatham out what it was as didn't sound like it was coming from another room so no idea, it did stop around midnight but if you wanted to chill prior to this it could be quite annoying. If management of the hotel are not aware of this I would suggest you sit in a room for the evening so that you can see for yourself and try and sort it out, even if we hadn't had any other problems this would be enough for us to not stay again. (I would like to point out this happened in both rooms so nothing to do with neighbours) The floors were very noisy, we had a real problem with the people above us, it sounded like a herd of elephants were running round up there and this continued until after 2am in the morning. Even when they were just walking around normally we could hear every footstep so if you have inconsiderate neighbours which we did this could be a massive problem. Thankfully reception took our complaint seriously and moved us to another room and although we could hear the upstairs neighbours it was not anywhere near as bad. The only trouble with the new room was a weird alarm starting going off on the TV at 4am which was then another disturbed nights sleep. The TV in both rooms did not have English channels and although we were not in the room much it would be nice to have a netflix or english channel option in case you want to chill in your room on an evening when you got back. In our first room the safe didn't work, as we carried our passports with us and didn't have much in the way of other valuable stuff this was not an issue for us, it worked in the 2nd room. This could be an amazing hotel if the noise issues were sorted but for me to have noise constantly when away is not something I would want to endure again. Once again a big well done to reception who helped us both times we needed them.

Very nice clean and comfortable room, about a 10 minute walk to the centre. and a convenience store next door. The advertised sauna wasn't working which was a pity. Also, as the hotel seems to get a lot of British tourists, it would be good to have at least one Englush speaking TV channel. Apart from that it was lovely.

Just returned from 4 nights staying at Belle Epoque Residence and was very pleasantly surprised at how beautiful our apartment 13 was. The decor was beautiful and the furnishings were superb. If we had wanted to cook for ourselves there was a job and oven but no microwave or toaster. There was also a dishwasher which we didn’t use. On arrival a hot drink would have been nice and although there were tea bags there was no milk so we had to wait until the morning when the supermarket opened. Lovely comfortable bed and squidgy soft pillows so great nights sleep. A lift was a blessing as my husband has difficulty with stairs. The bathroom was good, lashing of hot water but it was a bit of a struggle getting into the high bath. There was a sauna and a small gym but we didn’t use these as were too busy exploring. The location was quiet and not far to walk to the main square. We did have one issue and that was the young blonde girl on reception who was completely lacking In customer care skills and did her best to hide behind the reception desk to avoid eye contact or having to speak. We had an issue with the tv and said she would look at it, having been reminded about it she did reluctantly come to the apartment but couldn’t sort it, no apology etc. definitely a training need there! On our third day there was a different girl on reception who was bright and bubbly and a pleasure to speak to. All in all a wonderful trip to Krakow and I would recommend the Belle Epoque Residences

Apartment was very nice, very spacious, clean, comfortable great value for money only issues were reception was not monitored all the time in the 4 days we were there we only seen staff when we checked in, checked out and on the morning of the first day I undertand some accommodation places don’t have reception 24:7 but I was just worrying as I wanted to book a taxi for coming home as I had to email them hoping for a reply before we left but managed to see staff on check out. We found the room cold there was no heating it wouldn’t go past 21 degrees in the room but luckily there was 2 duvets in the room we had to use. This meant it was freezing cold when getting out of the shower which wasn’t enjoyable. It is stated as close to main square but for us it seemed further than advertised still a good location but we were expecting to be closer to the main square. It advertises as having a fitness centre when it only has 2 exercise bikes so it would of been better if there was more cardio equipment
