Hometel Hotel

A small cozy hotel located in the heart of the city very close to the shops on the banks of the river but at the same time it is a quiet hotel where you can rest for two or three days at a reasonable price….

Petite chambre avec tout le nécessaire et très propre. Bonne literie, grande salle de bain avec bonne douche. Les hôtes sont accueillants. Situé juste à côté d'un night market et d'un seven-eleven

This was our first accommodation after 2 months of travelling that we would not recommend. We aren’t fussy or ones for leaving bad reviews but we felt we should let others know what to expect. We got a double room. We arrived around 7pm and shown to our room. The doors to the balcony did not close flush to the wall leaving giant gaps for bugs to come in. The bath mat was torn to pieces with the towels each having giant holes in them (luckily we had our own). The linen was yellow/grey as opposed to the white it should have been. You could feel every spring in the mattress. The bathroom was so stuffy and smelly as no window and poor ventilation. To add to the distress, TWICE we came back to our room door OPEN, first time it was someone working out on the balcony and had left the door wide open and second time we don’t even know who or why it was left open? Luckily nothing was taken but WTH!! As we said we aren’t ones to complain so we didn’t make a big deal about it as it was only a quick stop before flying to Bali. Also in the theme of leaving doors wide open we did see other rooms which looked ‘slightly’ more appealing. We got ours pretty cheap but yeah just would not recommend…

Stopped for lunch after a couple of hours wandering around Krabi Town and the river path. The prices on the menu looked to be great value, we both chose the Tom Yum Shrimp 🍤 with rice and a large Leo beer 🍺. We were the only people here even though it was 1.30pm. Waited a little longer than you would expect but boy was it worth it, the soup was fantastic, clearly freshly made with lots of shrimp 🍤 and bursting with flavour. Try it….

Nach einem langen Tag dachten wir hier etwas zu essen, FEHLER! Das Essen war eine reine Katastrophe! Wir bestellten uns ein zwei T‐Bon steaks, da kam der Koch und sagte er hätte nur noch eins und bot uns ein anderes Stück Fleisch an! Als wir unser Gericht bekamen waren wir schockiert! Fleisch war hart und schmeckte nach Waschmittel! Unverzehrbar! Wir hatten auch zwei Gläser Wein die kamen aus einem Tetrapack und in Spinnenverwehten Glas! Auch beim Ketchup merkte man das es verfallen war und kaum aus dem Glas kam! Wir liesen alles stehen und liegen,fragten die Rechnung umd bezahlten für diesen Spaß noch 30 € Wir vollten auch reklamieren doch die Kellnerin konnte kein einziges Wort englisch... Reine Verarsche!
