Tropical Sol

Last minute booking always given a great reception from staff and room. Nothing to fault at this hotel. Cleaning staff are amazing and every one helps out. Close to beach and shops. Local bus to Kos town throughout the day. Will definitely recommend and return in 2024.

We ( my family and I ) have been holidaying at the Tropical Sol Hotel since 2015. Sometimes staying here twice a year. I have to say. Every vacation we spend here is always so relaxing. The hotel is so intimate and friendly the family run hotel is so warm and caring. Nothing is too much trouble to make your stay there more enjoyable. From the moment you are greeted by the receptionist the welcome is as warm as the weather . All the rooms that we have stayed in are bright clean and well maintained. The dinning area is spacious and the food delicious and plentiful. The bar at night is very friendly and easy going. With a cosmopolitan feel about it due to the different nationalities enjoying this hotel. Now we come to the pool and snack bar area. This is run by a guy called Terry who is the heart and soul of this area. He is the mist friendly and naturally cheerful character you could meet. His drinks and food dishes are simply delicious. Thank you to ALL the staff at the Tropical Sol hotel for making another holiday a thoroughly enjoyable one. Especially with out first grandchild this year. Good things, Steve in the kitchen, Joanna on reception. Location, WiFi not good had to goto other places to talk to my family and send messages. Some staff on Sundays not helpful didn't show that they cared. Hotel is very Child friendly so expect a noisy pool area at times. Breakfast ok a mix of beans bacon scrambled eggs, continual style, etc. I had balcony with seaview(203). And the room was spacious and adequate. Locally there's everything you could need, supermarket, Local restaurants. but the best value was across from Tropical sol. Bus stop across the road to Kos town. Next to Oneiro hotel. €2.10 e/w, good service punctual 25 minutes. Bad things, pricey food and drink., room key operated Aircon and fridge. Which means if you remove the key all the electric is cut off, so no Aircon or cold water if u have it in the fridge . No washing facilities in the hotel or Tingaki, reception told me to get a taxi or bus to next village to use service there. Cleaners have a lot to do in a short time, so thorough cleaning overlooked. Few things broken in room. Owner in Oneiro shop said to a guest of tropical sol that their restaurant and shop is always busy because they said food not good at tropical. TV has 5 news channel in English, 4music video channel in English and a tonne of German channels. Airport very small, transfer good, unfortunately you have to go with everyone else, so I arrived 2½ hours early, but flight delayed by an hour anyway. A couple of eating places, and 1 duty free shop and a small bar. all double in price to what they are on the island, as you would expect in an airport.

We have just come back from a two week stay at this hotel. A real gem. The hotel is central to the tavernas shops and the lovely sandy beach. Rooms are clean with plenty of storage , air conditioning and laundry services every day except Sunday. Staff were all lovely and couldn't do enough for us special thank you to Teri in pool bar for making us wonderful lunch time snacks and to Maria s front of house team who were so helpful . (They are all a credit to you Maria). Breakfast was simple but plenty of it all well presented and always warm . Everything you need is on your door step. Even though you are in centre of hassle and bundle noise was never a problem. We will be back sometime next year. Thank you to Maria and all the team for making our holiday a lovely experience .

Excellent location to restaurants, bars and beach. Never had a problem getting a sun bed but it was the week before the main uk school holidays. Cleaners very friendly and did a fantastic job every day. Bathroom very clean shower curtain! Not so good as bathroom always flooded which was a slip hazard on a few occasions. Breakfast was ok but was becoming a bit boring by the end.

I’ve just finished a weeks stay here and I have absolutely nothing bad to say at all about Tropical Sol! I’ve been to Corfu and Crete before and I have to say, this has been my favourite hotel. Rooms are modern and well equipped and cleaned to a high standard daily. Breakfast has lots of options, hot and cold. The staff are wonderfully friendly, especially Terry in the pool bar and Niko in the main evening bar. Whilst it’s a fairly big hotel, it’s not overcrowded or noisey and you get a real mix of cultures and people to talk to. Lots of families and couples and a few solo travellers too! The shutters in front of the balcony door keep out external noise and heat brilliantly and the aircon is free and powerful! Room tax is €1.50 per night. The hotel is also in a fantastic location on the ***** (supermarket opposite, lots of tavernas a minute away and the beach just 5 minutes away), but again isn’t a noisey crazy party place. Lots of sunbeds by the pool and fantastic food from the snack bar. I’ve had a wonderful time meeting people and relaxing and I’d love to come back!

Hotel alright quite basic but was fine. The bathrooms quite small and if you didn’t get the shower curtain perfect would flood! In a perfect location and the pool is big and always had enough sun beds. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Everyone seems to get up at 7 and corridors very echoey so no chance of a lie in didn’t have one good nights sleep when we were there to be honest Breakfast was alright plenty of it. Again quite basic never had a hot fried egg but the beans were hot. Do recommend just for how good the pool is and the location is!

Me and my husband stayed here 21/6/23-28/6/23, and what can we say, we had an amazing time. The staff were amazing and so friendly they made u feel so welcome. We absolutely loved terry at the pool bar he is the best! The pool is so big and never had a problem getting a sun bed. It’s in a great location right in the middle of shops and bars. I emailed them before we went to say it was an early anniversary holiday and they put 2 bottles of Prosecco in our room which was such a nice gesture. We are back in tingaki end of august but staying in a different hotel but wish we was staying there but we will be down to go round there pool and see them all. Thanks for an amazing holiday❤️

Just spent an absolutely wonderful week at the tropical sol. Pleasant,helpful, friendly staff make for a great place to base yourself in Tigaki. The pool area is a good size, and we never had an issue with getting sunbeds. Breakfast is plentiful, with a good selection including hot food and gives a good start to the day. Snack bar food is amazing and plentiful thanks to Terry (who is an asset to the hotel) and his assistant. In the evening, the bar is relaxed and chilled. The rooms are good enough size for what you need from a hotel room with good facilities, eg air con at no extra charge!!! The cleaners are brilliant and keep the rooms the cleanest I have ever witnessed in Greece. They are very friendly and always greet you with a happy "Kalimiera " The hotel is conveniently situated with all you need on your doorstep.
