Location: The hotel is around a 30 minute walk (2.5km) into Tigaki. The closest supermarket is around a 15 minute walk. You can rent bikes with the aid of the hotel for around €5 a day (electric assist bikes also available for extra). Cycling is very popular in Kos and easy to do if able, due to the island being quite flat. I believe the hotel can also assist with car hire. The hotel serves some nice evening meals. There is also a beautiful taverna we went to twice called Ampeli Wine Yard, which offers tasty meze dishes. This was less than a 10 minute walk away (head left as you leave the hotel). Taverne Agnanti is also pleasant, and a similar 10 minute walk from the hotel in the direction of Tigaki. The location has its advantages, in that it is in a peaceful location, with no noise from neighbouring bars. It also has a section of sandy beach just beyond the the pool area, which was very clean with some amazing views over to Turkey and stunning sunsets in the evening. There is a bus stop only a few metres from the hotel that can take you into Tigaki or Kos town for €2.10. We used it a couple of times. As the stop was before the busier areas in central Tigaki, we managed to get seats (it can get crazy busy further down the line). Hotel and staff: We arrived just before midnight, which I think was outside normal reception operating hours, but a kind gentleman at reception was ready to greet us and check us in. We had a superior, sea view room which was spacious, clean and equipped with a closet, fridge, kettle, hairdryer, TV, vanity mirror and small table with chairs. I found the double bed (two singles pushed together) to be very comfortable. A safe was not included; I believe you can request one but there's a charge. My only gripes about the room is that the air con was rather weak and ineffective at keeping the room cool. The patio door was left slightly open when we arrived, and on the first night there were a lot of mosquitoes in the room. They mostly left me alone but treated my partner like an all you can eat buffet. We kept the patio door closed afterwards, and their numbers appeared to decline with each day. Also, I know you don't go on holiday to browse the internet, but it can be a useful tool for research and such. The WiFi here is free but we found it weak and unreliable most of the time. The hotel grounds are spotlessly clean and the pool is well maintained. Plenty if sunbeds are available near the pool and on the beach. We had no issues finding any, even in the late morning or early afternoon. This place is very chilled out! Our rate included breakfast, and the offerings were tasty and they'd include some Greek dishes like spanakopita on occasion. Coffee from the machine was limited to black filter with a hot milk option on the machine; not amazing, but it was serviceable at staving off caffeine withdrawal. Staff are friendly, helpful and approachable, particularly the gentlemen serving at the pool bar. Overa
