It is really a nice hotel. Good ambiance. Some people will complain about back side construction view & noise. But fortunately I got front side room, moreover who looks outside in city hotel? But for sound hotel May change backside windows to soundproof options. Clean & decorated room. Breakfast is ok, rather I would say Good if not Very Good. Reception people are very helpful, I got early check-in at 12:30PM. Nearby Shopping District. As it is busy area, so get ready for whole day huge traffic.

The stay was good and pleasant. We will surely visit next time. Good location, good food and took care of us well. Very warm service. Got a huge delicious meal as well. Very helpful security service. Buffet is also great. We wanted help to get around the city, the staff was very kind to point us to the auto stand and all other things. The area is a little loud in the mornings due to the traffic. Overall stay was very nice and we would visit again. The location of the hotel is also very nice to get around the city.

The accommodation is situated in a prime location, but lacks basic maintenance. Cleanliness is also an issue that needs to be addressed. The rooms and restrooms both were not clean. Only on request, it was as cleaned. Requires better supervision.

Good and nice environment was awesome

I stayed at this property during my leisure vacation to Kolkata from 10-12 Jul 2023. The location of the hotel is good, its centrally located and hence nearby to most of the tourist places. A cab can easily take Rs. 120-290 to go anywhere in the park street/college street area.We were four people so we took dzire to roam around. ABOUT THE HOTEL - It's an old property, even though the location is good, The security guards were attentive and always had smiles on their faces. However, the overall experience with the property is really bad. CHECK-IN- It was smooth, we booked two rooms and they kindly offered us the rooms earlier than the check-in time for which we were grateful. They also have a small lift which is pretty helpful for people who cannot climb or walk much otherwise the height of the floors is not much, one can easily climb the stairs. RESTAURANT - They have a Chinese restaurant as well. The Chinese food is decent and delicious for the price you pay. The Indian food was really bad. ROOMS - We took one double bed and one twin bedroom (A2/A3 rooms). The rooms look okay at first but the more you spend time inside you discover something new. Like the bed sheet/linens were old and dirty. The blanket was coming out of the duvet cover, The pillows were too hard to sleep on. The floor under the bed was really dirty like it was never ever cleaned for ages. The bathroom corners are spider-webbed and very dirty. Although the hot water worked fine. The bathroom amenities were less (only one shampoo and one soap) They need to understand if someone has booked on double occupancy then the amenities should be enough for two people. Other amenities like laundry bags/shaving kits / dental kits were in demand. If you want you need to call them and ask them which is again not so convenient to most people like me. The television was not working in # A3, upon calling the staff it was of no help from their side too, it seemed like they never recharged the set-top box. The wall fixture/ and bedside socket were broken and a ceiling light in # A2 was not working. The back side of the hotel was very bad, it was a dirty rooftop and it has never been cleaned too, the windows lock doesn't work so sleep at your own risk. The file on the bedside table with house rules/ welcome letter/ and menu card was really dirty like it was so old that it was kept for a decade there. The AC in the room was so noisy. BREAKFAST - It was located on the ground floor banquet hall (pine hall) - The spread was decent with milk, cereals, boiled eggs, one type of cut fruit mostly papaya, one Indian dish, bread, with butter/jam & tea/coffee. They have only one toaster which made the process to toast the bread very slow. The service people who served the breakfast were extremely friendly, attentive, and quick. The stay was amazing and the closest possible to the us consulate of kolkatta. I had a visa appointment early morning, so i had requested a room in the top floor, which was calm and quiet enabling me to have a nice rest. The free breakfast was filling too. And they were kind enough to hold my luggage while i roamed the city for 3 hours.
