Took a pilgrimage trip with family through Purple Bus a travel agency in Pune. Intention was to travel to Kolhapur, visit Mahalaxmi temple and other places of interest over there. They offered us an "Akara Maruti" tour, which included Mahalaxmi temple in Kolhapur. Presumably since there were not enough bookings, we were ferried in a Dzire car whose AC was faulty and had an uncouth fellow passenger. Would not recommend anyone to avail Purple Bus agency especially if travelling with family for a tour like this. Anyway, as a part of the programme, we were lodged in this "Parth Residency Hotel" for night stay at Kolhapur. Our next day's schedule was to start at 6 a.m. so that we can see the morning aarti at Mahalaxmi temple. However, we were told by the reception that hot water will not be available before 6 a.m., which meant postponement of departure time to 7 a.m. But even at 6 a.m. there was no hot water and hence no bath. The toilet of our room (no. 103) was not maintained properly, and the blanket in the bed had a hole in it. Couldn't do anything about it since the hotel stay arrangement was done by Purple. But certainly a better experience was expected.
