Overall, Lanna Hotel is a nice place for long-term stays, especially considering the great deals they offer for monthly rates. It is situated in a quiet residential area, although there may not be many attractions or amenities in the immediate vicinity. However, it is conveniently located just a 10-minute drive away from Fisherman's Village or Chaweng, where there are more options for dining and entertainment. The rooms at Lanna Hotel provide good Wi-Fi connectivity and boast beautiful decor. The common areas are well-maintained, and the staff, especially the reception staff, are very nice and helpful. They assisted us a lot when we lost our credit card, and they were accommodating to our every request. However, during our month-long stay, we noticed a few drawbacks that we would like to point out in the hopes that they will consider them and make improvements. Smoking: Smoking is allowed in every corner of the hotel, which can be especially annoying when sitting in the restaurant and trying to eat while being exposed to smoke. When we asked the waitress to request that people not smoke in the restaurant, they refused to interfere. We suggest creating a designated smoking area that is far away from common areas. Restaurant: Prices - The restaurant prices are significantly high. A simple Pad Thai dish costs three to four times more than in a regular thai restaurant, and they add service charges and taxes. Every meal cost us about 800 bhat for 2. Dishes - The Mediterranean dishes at the restaurant are not good. Coming from a Mediterranean country, we can say that the taste of these dishes is not authentic. We tried a few times and gave up. Plastic - Please consider reducing the use of plastic straws. Guests can request a straw if needed, and it would be beneficial to use paper straws. It would contribute positively to the environment. Impractical design - The restaurant and gym at Lanna Hotel have beautifully designed glass ceilings, which are impractical in sunny and hot Thailand. It becomes uncomfortably hot to fully enjoy the restaurant or gym. Please consider finding a way to cover the ceiling. Additionally, having a restaurant without air conditioning in Thailand can be challenging. Internet: The internet quality in the common areas is not good. It was difficult to work outside the room due to the heat, and the Wi-Fi that was often faulty. Since there are many digital nomads staying here and fewer children, we suggest converting the kids' room into a co-working space with air conditioning and fiber Wi-Fi. Activities: We expected Lanna Hotel to offer more activities for long-term residents or digital nomads. However, they only provide early morning yoga sessions. Therefore, we feel that there is not much added value for digital nomads staying here. Other than these few drawbacks, Lanna Hotel is a charming place with modern conveniences. We reccomend to stay here if the price is compatible, as there are other, more well located hote

I don’t believe in leaving negative reviews, but people need to STAY AWAY from this hotel. It was a total nightmare and ruined our trip! We nicely asked the male owner for a higher room away from the road, where he started yelling at us. He first, couldn’t locate our booking after 10 minutes even after I showed him on my phone through my Agoda app and emails. He didn’t want to help and was rude to my Thai girlfriend and me. A cleaner lady heard him yelling and said he is always like this in Thai and nicely got a key for a higher room away from the road. I’ve never experienced this before and was utterly shocked by his behaviour. If you log onto Tripadvisor and look at the 1 star reviews, it’s a common problem with the male owner at this hotel where some reviews say the owners like to get drunk at times. I’m not the only person being yelled at when I ask for something nicely. The room was average where the air conditioner was weak. It took a good hour to cool down the room. I couldn’t go to the toilet cause the toilet paper holder was in the way in a small tight corner. No toilet paper was in the room, so I had to go to a restaurant down the road to use the toilet. I have an average body size for a Westerner. It’s 2022, and you would think the internet would be fast everywhere, but it was only 5MB speed which dropped out all the time and was very slow, like dial-up. I’ve stayed at many hotels around Ko Samui over the years, and the internet is always great. I had full bars of Wifi strength where the hotel was very quiet, but the internet was very poor and unusable even at 3am. I had to spend 400 baht for an internet plan on my phone and set up a hotspot. The room was never clean, even after putting a sign on the door to clean it in the morning. When it was time to check out after 2 regretful days where haven’t spoken to the owner since checking in, I asked for a taxi nicely where he refused to call one. He told us to go walk down the road and find one. The whole experience was a total nightmare that ruined our holiday, which no one should experience when they are on holiday.

Bodo and Poo are incredibly hard-working and loving hosts. Due to Covid-related staff shortages, the hotel restaurant is currently closed, which together with my lack of mobility and the location a bit away from the center could have been a bit of a problem for me, but Poo kindly scootered me to the center several times, to their external restaurant or drove to a massage. Both hosts are always available with tips and solutions. This kind of hospitality is something you can only wish for in many more expensive places. The complex is very well maintained and quiet, 7-11 is not far away. The value for money cannot be surpassed.

The location is good, quiet and very close to the sea, the beach 🏖 has fine sand, and the infinity pool is beautiful! It is suitable for taking pictures and punching cards, the breakfast is delicious, and the hotel meals are not expensive! Five-star praise 👍

Had recently came to Samui on a last minute trip and had booked somewere else for the 1st few nights. found this gem in a local neighborhood from a previous stay. Family run business by great local couple in a convenient and peaceful location still close to everything but also private. Very much recomended.....

The hotel is located on Pope Beach, a crescent-shaped beach with fine sand, few people and calm waters. We live in a sea view room, because there are not many people staying at the hotel. Basically, we enjoy the pool and the beach in front of the hotel. This hotel is more like a homestay. There are four sets of townhouses. Two sets of sea view rooms face the sea and are two rooms. Hall, suitable for two big and two small. Although there is no big and luxurious hotel, it is warm and comfortable. Moreover, the service staff is responsive, and the boss will take the passenger's motorboat from time to time and sail out to sea. Boats are also available in the store and you can make your own trip in the sea. On the left hand side of the hotel are renting motorcycles, sea companies, and 7-11 and CP Lotus. In the morning, some local snacks are early, and there is no flavor. On the right hand side, you need transportation, arrive at Fisherman's Village, and there are many sea-view restaurants and shops in the city. In short, it is a quiet place, quiet and cost-effective place!
