Phangan Cabana Resort

Rooms are tiny and, frankly, not clean. You’ll never be alone tho - cockroaches, gekkos and spiders will always be around.

Rarely have I had such a bad experience with a resort. All the employees walk around with a bitter expression, no smiles. My Thai colleague ordered soup for breakfast. The soup was seasoned several times by the cook with the same spoon (kitchen open to view). A colleague got sick and we wanted to check out 2 hours later until the doctor arrived. The manager wasn't interested and put us out on the street. Unfriendly and callous manager. A nigh**are. Never again, even if it's cheap.

I stayed in this accommodation 20 years ago and was keen to go back and see how it has changed. I loved it now as much as I did the first time. It is certainly not for party animals, but if you just want to relax and get away from it all, you cannot fault it for quiet times and relaxation. The reception staff were wonderful and smiley. A great welcome! When I had a problem with my door lock, it was sorted quickly. I had no issues with the room. Although not modern, the room was more than adequate - I loved the storage area and often enjoyed sitting outside reading. There is no TV but no issue as I had programmes downloaded and books. My only request for the room would be a bedside lamp. The public areas were well maintained (although I think some work was going on with some of the units). The restaurant was wonderful in terms of location and food- overlooking the sea - see pictures. All food I ate there was very tasty and reasonably priced. Getting there was easy on the public taxi service and was only a few minutes wait for a taxi to get back to the port. I explored a couple of other bars and restaurants nearby - nothing beats this place, in my opinion. I already want to come back. Thank you to everyone and see you soon.

I was traveling with a friend and we decided to stay in Phangan Cabana Resort. We had a really nice and clean bungalow. Also the food is awesome! Julie (Manager) is always super friendly and helpful. Thanks you so much for this great experience, we will come back soon 😊

I stayed for 7 nights.The resort located by the sea , west coast , i enjoy sunset every evening with bean bag at the beach. Room super clean with comfy bed , restaurant also by the sea good taste real Thai authentic and not expensive. They offer discount 15% for food and happy hour drinking 5-8pm. The owner, Manager and all staffs super nice and great service mind they know even what breakfast i ate everyday hahaha Even my last day they make sandwich for me take away on ferry. How lovely they are. ❤️ i think i'm inlove with this resort i won't go back home.

*********** states there is a shuttle service. There is not. Also states that the small standard rooms have a TV. They do not. The manager Julie speaks good english, cheerful and very very helpful. Unfortunately for me, I had prebooked my Standard Middle room via *********** on 9 June only to be advised on 5 July my booking had been cancelled due to overbooking. I then prebooked a Standard Double room with TV only to discover upon check in no TV. Julie kindly explained how the overbooking occurred as well as providing me with her own TV with set box. Excellent service and much appreciated Julie. My room was aged but still provided decent aircon, standard Thai mattress, small fridge and shower with heater. The bathroom is a wet room but had excellent lighting. Lacking in storage space for clothes with a few hanging coat hangers. The common walls on either side are thin. I could hear people talking no problem. Room cleaning is just a matter of leaving your sign on the door. The restaurant overlooking the beach has an extensive menu. Staff were attentive most of the time.All the meals I had were okay for me with reasonable island prices. The pool though not large is more than adequate. The water was clean and well maintained. There were fewer tourists along the the north west coast. I think most tourists, particularly backpackers, stay around the southern area of the island. Overall, I enjoyed my 5 night stay here.

I really like this place I stayed for a month! The room was really clean and comfortable, AC work very well! The restaurant and bar are really nice you can look at the ocean while having your delicious meal ( I recommend green Curry Fried Rice!!!) PLUS happy hour cocktails! Some night you can have a BBQ there as well, Super fresh seafood and reasonable price! The garden area was really nice you can do yoga or chill there and the pool was also so nice and clean! I love my stayed! I will for sure return to this place again next time! THANK YOU Phangan Cabana!!!

I really adored my stay here! Julie is incredibly attentive and sees to your every need. She is so friendly and caring. Highly recommended! The price is so affordable for the rooms, the food and the drinks!
