Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort and Spa

The resort location is great. A huge area along the beachside. But reaching here was a huge task as the Google map showed us different route and the gate was closed. Finally after 15 mins we reached their parking area. The whole procedure of checking in and getting our bags to room took another 1 hour. Room was spacious and well maintained but the balcony wasn't. The bathtub had a leakage and water would drain somehow even after locking. The hand faucet(jet spray) in bathroom would make a seriously loud high pitch noise while using it. Woke my husband up when I used to use the washroom! Also found a cockroach in the room taking a stroll ( didn't expect this when we booked a 5 star hotel) never came across one in any other hotel in thailand. The view from the supreme Seaview room was breathtaking but getting to other places like restaurant, beach was a bit fussy, because we had to take another car to pick us and drop to another location. Breakfast option is good and tasty. Totally loved their breakfast buffet. Again the check out process is lengthy especially we had to wait for our bags ( they get bags to the check out area) we had backpacks and didn't carry them with us as we had to walk stairs to reach the pick up point of cars. ( Walking a lot after paying such a high price , no elevator) and we missed our ferry and had to wait another 1.5 hr for the next ferry at chong lard pier. They also take 3000 baht as deposit and return once we check out! Their TV didn't have any channels other than their promotional channel of santhiya resort! Sigh.

第二次入住，現在的性價比很高，酒店環境很好，西方人居多，來回使用酒店的speedboat，600一人，提前一天預約。

First of all Santhiya resort is really heaven on earth. The location, the rooms, the amenities, breakfast, the pools … everithing is TOPCLASS. This all comes with a certain price … rooms are very expensive …when you drink a coctail by the pool, you can have five coctails for the same price, just one street besides the hotel. This all gave me a very bad feeling … it was (more than) exagerated For instance …. When we arrived on the isle, we booked a taxi to drive us to the hotel.We payed 600THB. When we left the isle we wanted to book the same taxi … the hotel wanted to charge 730THB….. sorry … there is only one name you can give this …THIS IS A RIPOFF !!! I also know that the difference between 600 en 730THB is neglectable in euro/dollar ….. but nevertheless this realy offended me …. I had the prove of what we payed arriving in the hotel in my hand … 600THB suddenly became 730THB …. Only because it was Santhiya ….. This 130 THB is enough raison for me never to return to Santhiya. If this is the repect they have for their clients … money, money, money … no thanx … never again. Even worse …. While checking in they give you a whatsapp number. A number you can contact for whatever problem on whatever moment. We used this whatsapp several times. As long as it was all positive news they immediately responded. The “taxi history” (see above) i also send to the whatsspp and i asked for a solution. 3 weeks have passed, i am still waiting for a reaction!!!! As long as you spend your money and do not ask anoying questions they threath you as their God,…. Just to finish the story … We booked a taxi outside of the hotel … we payed 400THB!!!

We spent in this hotel 3 nights. We had 2 separate bookings: 1) 1 night in a cheap one 2) 2 nights in one of the best rooms with private pool When we arrived and checked in for cheap room, we felt treated like a number and not as a guest. I understand the hotel is big and busy, but we had the feeling of being treated completely differently when we checked in for the second booking. I didn’t like this difference. We made 2 separate bookings in order to try 2 different types of rooms. It was quite annoying having to check out the first one at 11:00am and being able to check-in the second one at 3:30pm. Apart for these things, the stay was very pleasant. Rooms are a bit dated but fascinating and the bigger one with private pool was huge and amazing. Total privacy. The staff was good. Food at breakfast was good. We tried to order food several times to the room and it was good and at a fair price. We didn’t like that prices for eating at the restaurant are extremely overpriced (min. +100bhat per dish; when a slice of cake costs 65 and it becomes 165 it’s almost +300%). Infinity pool is awesome. We rented a car for a day, all good. I saw the prices of private boats tours and they are very overpriced. Average was 19k. We arranged a similar one from another hotel for less than 5k.

第二次入住了，上一次還是2019年，感慨萬分，服務是一如既往的好，海景房給了3號酒店的2層，前面有遮擋，叫車要走到站點，不像別墅可以直接在門口等，房間裏設施完善，洗浴用品齊全，海邊自助晚餐和room service點餐的價格都漲了不少，性價比一般吧。

環境絕對超五星，這沒得説！最神奇的是沒有蚊子！但不足之處就是服務員的中文不太好，碰到我這個塑料英語，我們衹能一起靠翻譯軟件交流。另外大家最好訂至尊海景房或者別墅，起碼得是編號5開頭的房子，不然每次大上坡真的走的很累還很曬。另外出酒店建議大家走沿着海灘一直走然後從旁邊酒店出去的那條路，不然你還需要走一個大大的上坡和下坡！

Magical hotel and stunning ocean views from the balcony and infinity pool. At breakfast there is some entertainment and free massage so go early.

The view and the pool were amazing! Right up of the cluff! But.... The bathtub was dirty. Need to take a tuk tuk every time to go to the common areas ( i guess it s the price to pay to be in the middle of a jungle were you can even hear monkeys, amazing!) You don t gett all the service of a resort, i had to carry my luggage until the room, no one helped me ( they did everywhere in thailand in much cheaper hotels). Most of the restaurants the resort is supposed to have or the beach clu are closed, so just 2 with the same menu. Food pretty average eapecially the thai food! Better you eat in another resort next to it they have more choices and cheaper. Basically what you pay is the architecture that is really stunning in every detail! Such a pity the management is not that good..

挺私密的一個小島，體驗不錯。島上有不少小螃蟹和寄居蟹，寄居蟹要去礁石那邊的樹蔭下找，孩子們玩的很開心。酒店裡有一個挺大的小童樂園，吃的也不錯，價格不算貴，沙灘還可以，略紮腳，不如卡倫的細。酒店很大，去哪兒都挺遠的，要坐擺渡車。上島略麻煩，要先打車到ao po grand marina，我從卡倫去的花了一個小時。然後再坐半小時的船。船費是大人六百小孩三百，提前打電話給酒店預訂。
