The Historic Requa Inn

We were driving from Seattle to San Bernardino to pick up a puppy and decided to take a week. I had never been down the West Coast (I’m a Southerner) and our first stop was 2 nights here at the Requa Inn. We are currently in our second night and I wanted to leave a review. We stayed in room 7. The bed is a sumptuous king. The room is as beautifully antique as I am. When we come back, and we definitely will, I’ll stay in the front blue room, facing the gorgeous Klamath River. Don’t look for a tv, there are none and they won’t be missed! Room 7 doesn’t have the view. No tub, but the shower is fantastically hot absolutely the water pressure is on point. We sat each night and drank a bottle of wine on the front porch. So beautiful. We didn’t get in the hot tub, but one is available. Unfortunately we leave for Napa tomorrow; yes you read that correct. I said unfortunately. I would stay here and not go any farther if I could. Bring a southerner, I love a good biscuit and gravy in the morning for breakfast, being in the PNW I hadn’t had one (unless I made it myself), since I moved there. But this little Inn in Cali, blew me away! Yum!! And last but NOT least, the lady that runs the whole place. I swear, she’s a kindred spirit. So very welcoming and polite, (Found out she’s from Tennessee so it makes sense.) and all around sweetheart! She works her buns off and will bend over backwards for anything you need. Complete 5 star and in the middle of the Redwood Forrest. Go see the Cork shoe Tree! Drive through the Drive Thru Tree in Klamath! Get out and hike but by all means relax at this beautiful Inn. Much like a B&B, but here you pay for the breakfast and it’s FANTASTIC!

We had a delightful stay at this quaint, old hotel. The charm of the building is matched by the unique and comfortable rooms, each with its own cozy character. The innkeeper was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh, delicious options to start the day. One thing to note is that while the area is beautiful and centrally located near the stunning redwoods, dining options are quite limited—especially for sit-down dinners. Also, be sure to visit Fern Canyon; it’s an absolute must-see! Overall, this hotel is a lovely spot for a peaceful getaway in a gorgeous setting.

Cass was very welcoming…made us feel right at home. Inn is quaint and lovely Not super mobility friendly, no elevator and iron foot tub is a big step in for shower. Breakfast was delicious… pancakes and cinnamon rolls. ..definitely worth the $$. Close to Redwood adventures but not much good food close by… all in all, enjoyed our stay!

Perfectly charming place overlooking the Klamath River. Each room is beautifully unique. No place makes one feel more welcome. Breakfast in the bright airy dining room is satisfying, and I appreciate the touch of class with linin napkins. As I see it, the only improvement would be if they were to take away our phones keeping the rest of the world from rushing in disturbing the tranquility. Five stars all around.

What a fabulous find! I took a chance and booked the Rhododendron Room for two nights. Beautifully decorated room with comfy bed and newer window to throw open and allow fresh breeze to lull us to sleep. Other visitors included a young family and a group of couples enjoying the stunning redwood forests and coastline nearby. The highlight was breakfast. Soft pillow scrambled eggs, homemade jam and perfectly seasoned, crispy potatoes. Cass, the innkeeper, was a delightful hostess, providing laughs and allowing us to sample some new menu possibilities. Would love to visit again!

Loved this quaint historic inn! It was even better than expected and what a nice touch to be offered a taste of port & homemade chocolate chip cookies. We had a comfortable stay and loved the decor and the view of the Klamath River! Also, Elaine, William & Kass were very friendly, hospitable, accommodating, and great in advising us of places to go & see in the area. We enjoyed the breakfasts there as well. I would definitely recommend The Historic Requa Inn!

Had a lovely visit. Room was nice, bedding was cozy, and the views could not be beat. The WiFi didn’t really work, which wasn’t an issue for me, but mentioning it for others. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available in the lobby. A hot tub on site as well.

The Requa Inn was great! We had our family reunion here with 39 people for 5 days, and it exceeded our expectations. You can feel the history as soon as you walk in. The rooms are unique and beautiful. The food was very good, and the service staff were eager to please. The family loved activities such as hiking, horse back riding and canoeing. We would highly recommend Requa Inn!

Gorgeous 1920s decor everywhere. Warm feeling to the spacious lobby with games, books, even an old guitar and piano available for play. Binoculars available if you want to sit by the windows and scan the river for birds, seals, or maybe a bear. No refrigerator in room but shared refrigerator in dining room. As the staff will inform you, be ready for thin walls, a soft mattress, and clawfoot tubs which take some maneuvering upon entry and exit. We heard the people in the next room talking clearly, but luckily they went to sleep before 10. One night there was a family with kids partying in the hottub until around 10:30 out our window. Note also that the Inn is located at an intersection with a road leading to local homes and trailers. Not all the locals love visitors. At one point, a rough-looking local in an old car drove noisily past and hooted at the middle-class Inn guests. Probably just having fun. Really nice overall, 4-1/2 stars which I'm rounding to 5 for the review.
