Lovely hosts that took time to explain Kingman history and provide dining recommendations! Fun hotel that gives you the feeling of Route 66 days…nostalgia is a big theme.

The room was fine. The outside and property grounds were a bit rough looking. Pool didn't have any water in it. The hotel office was cluttered, pretty un professional looking, which is putting it kindly. The guy checking us in was nice and friendly. Just a bit unprofessional in presentation of their office and check in. Probably won't stay there again. It wasn't the worst place we've stayed in, but there's nothing there to be excited about. Sorry for the not so good review, it could just be better is all.

The owners have poured so much love into this place. The murals and the individual decor in each room (we had the Audrey Hepburn room) added much to the experience. We were having trouble with the wifi (we were trying to watch a streaming religious service) and the maintenance guy came to our room two or three times in the evening to try to resolve it. It never got resolved, but you can't top the effort and service. Sam the owner is an original; he's going to give you the history of the motel and the town. Checking into this place isn't so much a formality as it is a commi**ent. Monica his wife is charming and so proud of what they've done with the place. El Trovatore is a don't-miss on Route 66.

We were doing a short span of Rt 66 and decided to book this hotel because of its charm and connection to Rt 66.
The owner welcomed us with a brief history of the hotel and past guests that was nice to hear.
All of the rooms are themed rooms. They were clean and comfortable. The exterior of the buildings were painted with a variety of murals and it was a very inviting area.

We loved this motel. If you are wanting a different experience than a chain, this is worth checking out. When we are back in Kingman, we are staying here!

The owners were very nice. They give you a detailed historical account of this classic Route 66 establishment as well as the town of Kingman. Then give you advice on where to eat and how to get around. Very enjoyable conversation.
