Cill Aodain Court Hotel

We attended the CAH this evening for a pre Xmas Family Dinner as few of us are working over the Festive Season. I attended with 3 other ppl but soon realised before even our food came out we had a few more that wanted to Eat with Us! FLIES!!!! Loads of them! I know....its December surely not!!! But by God yes! Our food was delivered and incoming party of 3 kept us busy for 40 mins....couldn't take my eyes off our food to relax & chat! I informed 2 waitress' and was basically told its always an issue? Huh? Why not treat it or better still find out what's Dead some where to be producing Flies in December! I thought it might be just in my corner but on walking through the main bar 90% of ppl had their drinks covered with beer mats & were furiously swatting away at the air! How in the freg can there be multiple flies in December in a food area & staff couldn't care less only stay smiling at the tables saying ohh we're used to them! Are you Fkn Serious????!!!! Totally unacceptable! The food was good but half way thru my meal I noted a set empty table beside us with the flies running all over the Cultery.....Absolutely Disgusting, Totally Destroyed our evening, Did not finish my meal for fear of food poisoning.... To top it all off I use the toilet facilities & the flies obviously after having a good meal at everyones table were in the bathroom on the hand towels that I now had to wipe my freshly washed hands, travelled from Galway for this, will absolutely not be back...Spent €100, cudda eaten outta the Bin 🤷‍♀️

We organised a family breakfast yesterday and as it was a large gathering I rang ahead to book/let them know in advance. The service was slow and the food was OK but overall it was a pleasant experience as the focus was on us all being together. As my brother was walking out afterwards he overheard staff giving out about 'that crowd' using language I can't repeat on this. I'm absolutely disgusted to hear this and it will be our last trip to the Cill Aodain.

I thoroughly enjoyed my five night stay. A lovely welcome from Sylwia on reception. Born in Poland, she clearly loves Ireland and was so knowledgable about the country. She told me about the sea glass on Achill Island. I meant to get a picture! Breakfasts were excellent with good choice and again friendly staff. My room was at back of hotel so very peaceful. The one evening meal I had at the hotel was again very good. Keelan at the bar was friendly and easy to talk to so I perhaps had one or two more beers than intended! Very convenient for my favourite bar, Teach O’Hora, all of thirty yards away. Highly recommend place to stay in this lovely town.

Didn’t stay in the Hotel, just called in for dinner with family while visiting the area, staff all very pleasant and helpful. Food was very nice and service was efficient. Restaurant is very clean , would definitely return. No problem parking

- lovely breakfast but I had a room facing the road and there was traffic whizzing by from early morning and just when I thought I might get some sleep there were traffic works A pity - it’s just not what k need of I want some shut eye. I’ll go elsewhere

We are returning customers and stayed here recently for a family birthday celebration. Despite it being one of the busiest weekends of the year for the team , they still managed to give us top class treatment. The staff are all so nice & friendly & can’t do enough for you. Food was also delicious. Proper Irish hospitality.
