Just returned from a wonderful week here with my wife and 2 kids (7&8). This really is a superb family resort with everything you could want for a lovely summer holiday where you dont particularly want to leave the resort - I'm sure there are wonderful things to see nearby but we were happy to relax and enjoy the resort. The water park was the big selling point and it is really first class. Very close to the hotels (3 minute walk) with lots of different rides, very friendly staff / lifeguards, and crucially, not busy at all (probably because it only available to hotel guests). My kids had a blast there every day for 2-3 hours. The hotel is lovely with lots of amenities, excellent food (as long as you are happy with buffets!) and a wide variety of pools, sunbathing options (no need to pre-reserve sunbeds, there are lots) and exceptionally friendly and amenable staff. The beach and views are great and you can even go and use the next door Grecotel's (5 minute walk along the beach) lazy river and waterslides. The rooms are a little tired but honestly, who cares, we were barely in them, apart from to sleep, whilst the sheets were clean, the hot water and air con worked well, and they are well appointed, not too far a walk from pools, beach, restaurants. Rooms could do with some more shelves inside the closet ! My one issue was the lack of alternative dining for adults - there are a couple of excellent Greek tavernas in the resort which you have to pre-book, but its very difficult to get a booking. We enquired on day 1, and could only get a booking on our last night - I guess people pre-book before they arrive. That said, the family buffet is excellent, not too busy or hectic and serves all the foods you could possibly want - but if you are a couple with kids and want a 'night off' the buffet in a nice restaurant, your options are a bit limited , but this is a minor issue in the context of a wonderful resort, and this is a family resort after all ! (couples lunches on the other hand were very easy to turn up and get a table, and the food was simple but excellent Greek fare). There are lots of other activities that we didnt use (paintballing, tennis, archery, football, Spa etc etc, so lots of other things to do) All in all I would highly recommend this resort to families with kids up to mid teens.

Είχα μόνο μια διανυκτέρευση με την σύζυγο, την επόμενη θα επιβιβαζόμαστε στο πλοίο για την Ζάκυνθο. Το ξενοδοχείο ενδείκνυται για αυτές τις περιπτώσεις, γιατί είναι μπροστά στο λιμάνι και από το μπαλκόνι σου παρακολουθείς όλη την κίνηση και επιλέγεις την κατάλληλη ώρα για να επιβιβαστείς. Φυσικά δεν είναι όλοι οι πελάτες του ξενοδοχείου αποκλειστικά αυτής της κατηγορίας.. Τα δωμάτια είναι απλά , αλλά λειτουργικά, το προσωπικό εξυπηρετικό και το πρωί σε περιμένει μια έκπληξη.: Το πρωινό του ξενοδοχείου είναι αντίστοιχο πεντάστερου ξενοδοχείου με μια πλήρη έκθεση προϊόντων της Ηλείας, όπως πίτες όλων των ειδών, τυριά ,αλλαντικά, μαρμελάδες χειροποίητες (6 είδη, αν θυμάμαι καλά), λάδια και ελιές διαφόρων ειδών, γλυκά, φρούτα κλπ. Ηταν το πιο πλούσιο και εύγευστο πρωινό που έχω δοκιμάσει, τουλάχιστον την τελευταία πενταετία. Εστιατόρια και καφετέριες είναι ακριβώς δίπλα.. Το ξενοδοχείο διαθέτει δικό του parking.

We have just returned home from a four night stay at the incredible Dexamenes Seaside Hotel, with such wonderful memories. This stunning hotel truly is unique as it was originally a winery, and the 30sq m storage tanks are now the elegant/industrial style bedrooms. The food at the Hotel is sublime,with imaginative dishes and beautiful flavours. The location of the Hotel is perfect as it has its own private stretch of sand on the Beautiful Kourouta Beach, and finally a very special mention and thank you must be made for the staff at the hotel, without exception, every single member of staff was Polite, Professional, courteous and knowledgeable, and really helped to make our all too short stay, so very special. We cant wait to return as soon as possible.
