We hated this place. It is only enjoyable for people on budget who have zero expectations or compare it with places they saw 50 years ago. These bathrooms are a punishment, stinking, making you puke while brushing teeth. Other negative reviews are also correct, most people except for very old ones complain about many things here. Unfortunately most people will just deal with the suffering and not leave honest negative reviews, because it is their vacation and it is not their job to lecture the hotel to work at least the tiniest amount of professionally. Basically the locals are left to play around with furniture making and all other crafts without supervision. What you get is a combination of "nice tries". So sad we had to suffer in this hell 😭. And the worst is that ridiculous manager. Talking to her feels like talking to a small Giraffe. Sort of funny but a complete waste of time and nerves. The has nothing under control, does not to any quality checks herself whatsoever and then says the very obvious negatives sides the customers complain about weren't true. What a seldomly pathetic and ridiculous place. It will surely make for a good travel story for years to come, but not in a nice way.

We had to wait still for the room to be ready at 4:30pm in the afternoon and for them it is totally normal.............. not a great start and rather unpleasent, also they still do this hand band thing u have to wear at all times ... the only thing missing would be a bunch of drunks in th pool LOL.

Тhere is no hair conditioner, the rest of the products are bottled, it is not clear what is where. The hotel itself is not bad, but the staff is in no hurry to help you. Separately, I would like to ask to change sun-umbrellas. They are so low that you almost crawl under them. People often head off.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach, with all the ammeneties your need for a great holiday. Very polite and attentive staff. We had the All Inclusive option and I was impressed by the quality and diversity of the food (both local and Italian dishes). Would return here anytime!

We absolutely loved Waridi! We are actually returning again in 150 days (yay!!) The location of the hotel is stunning, I love how the pool looks on to the beach. Marina is exceptional she is the hotel manager and went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. The massage therapists were incredible, the strength in their hands is amazing, we took the 6 massage package and we will be booking it again. They thoroughly looked after my partner when he was burnt with 3 sessions a day aloe treatment, he was red as a tomato and the next day you’d have never known. Their service was exceptional and the girls were amazing. The entertainment team were amazing and put on fantastic events, we loved Yusef, Samwe, Fati and the other gentleman in the pics (forgive me my mind has gone blank) they got us involved in all the activities and made us feel confident, calm and excited. They really looked after us during our stay and it wouldn’t have been the same without them! The food and service provided were exceptional, the food was sooooo delicious. The chefs do a phenomenal job and they work sooooo so hard to make sure the food is ready and is fresh from the island! The room was a good size with good facilities too and I love that you can see Bill Gates island from the beach. I’ve attached some pics during our stay and holiday for you to enjoy looking through. I'm currently sitting on the beach as I write this (using the hotelsWiFi). My husband and I took this vacation in late February 2023 as a couples vacation. There are a few families here but its mostly people without children (becauseof the times year we are here I suppose). We are having a good time. Accommodations: Accommodations are good. We have a big room which is set towards the back of the hotel so no ocean view, but then again, we didnt pay for one. The room is spacious and clean. Nice balcony for having a smoke or taking in some fresh air. Grounds : The grounds are clean and there are always housekeepers and maintenance about to maintain the place. Pool and Beach : The pool is not Olympic size but still a nice enough size so no complaints from me. As for the beach it is nice white sand. And the water is beautiful. A little bit of algae but nothing crazy. You can still very much enjoy the beach. Food: Food is pretty good. It is not 4 star restaurant but the quality is not bad. They give you diverse options. In my opinion the options are dinner are best. But breakfast is my least favorite. Not that it's bad, but I live in France and the pastries here don't compare to France. People: The staff is the most helpful and smiling staff I have ever seen. They always greet with a smile and enjoy talking to guests. I think this is what makes the experience the even better. Massai : There are Massaie from Tanzania who work on the beaches. They try to sell you there arts/jewelry clothes. The Massaie are not very pushy. They are respectful with tourists but obviously they would like to make a sales. Some people don't like this, but my husband and I don't mind. We negotiated some prices for artwork we liked and made a few purchases to support them. In addition, we enjoy learning about other cultures so we take the time to engage them and learn about their lives. This is very enriching. And I encourage you to do the same. This adds a cultural aspect to the experience of the vacation. Excursions : The hotel offers various excursions but there are locals on the beach that offer excursions as well and they tend to be cheaper than the hotel if you negotiate right. These locals: they work off of word of mouth from other tourists. So I will give you a name in case you want to hire one of the locals that sells excursions on the beach : his name is "Pepe". He took us out on a morning excursion to see Dolphins (we were lucky enough that the dolphins were out and about that day). And also we did snorkeling at different spots. And he took us to a spot where you can stand up in water that is so clear and warm. Fresh fruit and then lunch is included in the excursion. I recommend Pepe for anyone who wants to do this excursion. He is a serious/hard worker. You can your trust in him. All in all, I recommend this hotel and resort.

Very very poor experience all i can say!!! Stayed there in January for a week for a friend birthday. From the moment we got in, it was a disaster!!! The room we booked was supposed to be an ocean view and we pay extra for it, but when you get out standing in the balcony, it was an ocean view. Straight away we request to change the room as it wasn't what we booked!! The AC was making so loud noise and ceiling fan as seem it was about to fall down the roof! Since we knew we were to arrive on the Sunday at 4am, we booked the room from the day before, means Saturday. The checking was open from Saturday 3pm!! So the hotel should be expecting us no matter what time we coming in. Plus we sent an email to advise we arriving Sunday 4am. After complaining about the room, we waited an hour for the reception girl to get the manager but no sign of her and we decided we will stay overnight in that room. Following morning manager seen us to be told she was too tired to wake up to attend to our request. She then upgraded us to the Wiradi suite, which was nothing special. The room was old style, TV not working, bathroom stink!! There was a small pool just outside the room but was never ever clean and by end of our stay there was dead crabs and other insects! Food was very very low quality! I got put off by the food as i had flies in my food and after i showed to the restaurant chefs they didn't apologise or anything. When i told the manager about the flies in the food, her response was its a hot country, flies gets in food, so get over it!!! I was shocked by her respond. I was soo put off by the food there! Restaurant staff was the only nice thing. They were lovely and always smiling and ready to help. The seaside is lovely! But you get constantly shouted by the local vendors trying to sell their products. It was getting irritated after a few days when you want to relax at peace. If you can stay to another hotel. Please do so. We talked to the guest relation manager who went to check all the complaint i made in person and she agreed we were completely let down by the hotel and could not apologise enough to us. By her apologising so much shows how awful our stay was, to the point she could not take pride in that hotel. This hotel need big big time maintenance and employ another manager for night shift as the current manager clearly can not cope 24hr to manage this hotel and expectations of guest!

Alright. Where should I start. Been there last months so waited a bit to let it sink in. Would never stay there again and don’t stay there if you don’t have to. Much better places around the island. And they rip you off left right and center if they can from yours to transport it all costs a fortune. Everything was lost from the beginning and there wasn’t much done to change the situation. The reception staff hated us for asking a questions. And they were so unhelpful. Just wanted to get rid of us. The food was way under what you expected and at points so bad that you couldn’t eat it. The staff in the restaurant was the only good thing and really nice but there were so many that you feel uncomfortable eating there cause they were watching you all the time. The gardens are kept nice. The rooms were so awful. And the bathrooms are even worse. It’s all falling apart. The noise by the pool is beyond your imagination and the same tape runs hours and hours. Like in a really bad red light hostel. You get constantly hassled for something when you only want your peace by the pool or the beach when you are on holidays. All in all it’s a one star hotel if at all nothing more. Stay away without question it’s a rip off.

Ne cherchez pas ici les soirées endiablées, mais plutôt la tranquillité et le repos. Des familles avec enfants, mais pas où peu d'animations prévues spécifiquement pour occuper les enfants et les ados. Secteur privatif sur la plage, mais les vendeurs s'alignent devant, sont insistants et passent leurs journées à vous interpeller, ce qui est saoulant sur la durée. Mais tout va bien quand vous vous intéressez à eux un minimum ... d'ailleurs certaines sorties proposées valent largement le détour par rapport aux sorties proposées par l'hôtel. Et les massaï, quant à eux, sont finalement très attachant. Nourriture de qualité aussi, le poisson est très bon. Merci aux animateurs du club Kappa (Mélanie, Jonathan, achraf, ...), toujours aux petits soins et respectueux, même si nous n'avons absolument pas compris les raisons du départ soudain de Jonathan en cours de séjour ... Merci aussi au personnel de l'hôtel, des femmes de ménages, aux animateurs (pensées pour yussuf), en passant par les serveurs, toujours très agréables. Un bémol sur le "all inclusive" qui est tout sauf ça : toutes les boissons ne sont pas incluses, limitation à 22h, et surprise le jour du départ, à 19h, où il fallait rendre la chambre à 10h, pas de repas du midi à moins de régler le supplément ... (Sachant que j'ai bien eu 5 repas non pris durant mon séjour pour cause de sorties, le dernier repas n'aurait certainement pas été abusé ....). Enfin, prévoyez bien les euros ou les dollars suffisants avant de partir. Aucun moyen de retirer a l'hôtel ou à proximité, et aucune solution proposée par l'hôtel. En conclusion, bel hôtel typique et agréable, simple, nonobstant mes quelques remarques....
